*Chapter 7: The Archangel's Wrath*
Aria's heart racing, she tried to defend herself against Gabriel's accusations. "No, Archangel, I'm not working with Vraxxis," she protested. "I'm just trying to gather intelligence for the mafia."
Gabriel's expression turned skeptical, his eyes blazing with anger. "Don't lie to me, Aria," he growled. "I know all about your little meeting with Vraxxis. You're playing both sides, and that's treason."
Aria knew she was in grave danger. She had never seen Gabriel so angry before, and she knew that she had to think fast to get out of this situation alive.
"Archangel, please listen to me," she begged, trying to reason with him. "I'm not trying to betray the mafia. I'm just trying to do what's best for everyone."
Gabriel's response was a cold, mirthless laugh. "You think you know what's best for everyone?" he sneered. "You're just a foolish little dragon who thinks she can play with the big boys."
Aria felt a surge of anger at Gabriel's words, but she knew she had to keep her cool. She took a deep breath and tried to think of a way to defuse the situation.
Just as she was about to speak, a loud explosion rocked the room, sending debris flying everywhere. Aria stumbled backward, her ears ringing from the blast.
When she looked up, she saw a figure standing in the doorway, a sly smile spreading across his face.
"Well, well, well," the figure said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Looks like the party's started without me."
Aria's eyes widened as she recognized the figure. It was none other than Vraxxis himself.
