*Chapter 10: The Aftermath*
The deal was struck, and Vraxxis left the room, a satisfied smile spreading across his face. Gabriel watched him go, his eyes blazing with anger and resentment.
Aria felt a shiver run down her spine as she realized the implications of what had just happened. Vraxxis had manipulated her into delivering the package, and now he had used it to gain leverage over Gabriel.
She turned to Gabriel, trying to gauge his mood. "Archangel, what does this mean?" she asked, trying to sound calm.
Gabriel's expression was grim. "It means that Vraxxis has just become a very powerful player in our world," he said. "And it means that we have to be very careful."
Aria nodded, her mind racing with thoughts of what could happen next. She knew that she had to be careful, too. Vraxxis had used her once, and she had no doubt that he would try to use her again.
As she left the room, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was in grave danger. She had to find a way to protect herself, and to stop Vraxxis before he could do any more damage.
But for now, she had to play along. She had to pretend that she was still loyal to Gabriel, and that she would do whatever it took to help him.
Little did she know, Vraxxis had one more trick up his sleeve. And it would change everything.
