Bahati suggested visiting a fruit parlor as noon was approaching. We would chat over drinks and mixed fruit juices to pass time.
"Luv, I think I will move over to your place."
"Why so, dear?"
"I'm worried about you being alone as the Doctor reiterated. I will also share rent with you and it can be economical for both of us. What do you think?"
"Oh, it's a good idea. I have no problem and I have been feeling really lonely this past couple of days. I also told you how I lied to Priscilla. I feared she would eventually see through my lie but im now relieved. I don't want to take any chances to alert her."
"Okay, then it's done. I will contact the Move Easy Company to help in the relocation as you really praised them a lot."
Bahati contacted the company and sent her details for the location. She then proceeded to work her the procedure of moving out. They parted ways as Bahati had to wait for the incoming team rom the company at her home and supervise the whole process. Luvuno on the other hand had to receive them and plan her apartment accordingly to fit the changes. Luvuno bought a take away lunch as she was too lazy to cook.
The day panned out well and by late evening everything had worked out well. The duo were both tired and hurriedly cooked a light meal and retired to bed. Bahati had put on sale some of the items she felt were unnecessary.
At the crack of dawn, Bahati had woken up to prepare for work and Luvuno was buys ensuring the wifi set up was working well. She didn't want to mess up. Bahati took a packed breakfast as she feared for traffic that would implicate her into being late for work.
Luvuno took her time to calmly take her breakfast. She had ensured everything was ready was ready and she was composed. Just a few minutes to the expected time to start working, she received an email.
It read...
"Dear Luvuno Ngalaa
This letter is to inform you that your employment with Serena limited is being terminated effective as of today.
The decision was made after careful consideration and is based on laying off some employees to bring about the use of automated machines.
Your final paycheck including any accrued vacation time, will be mailed to your address on file next week. Information regarding your benefited..."
Luvuno couldn't muster up the courage to read any further. She felt like she was hit by a thunderbolt from a clear sky. No any sign .what with the automated machines. She was utterly devastated .when she felt her situation was getting on track, everything then spiraled out of control. She had been in the balcony at the time, and she felt dizzy. She dragged herself back to the living room by support of the wall. She sat on the sofa and could hear her heart thumping against her chest. She felt that when she tried to build something it all came crumbling down. She started to overthink about everything, maybe she had become a jinx. She felt lost. She gazed at the television mounted on the wall but her mind was elsewhere. She appeared soulless and this state lasted till evening. Bahati came in the evening and was stunned to see Luvuno in such a state. She then saw Luvuno's phone on the floor with a cracked screen. Just as she wanted to place it on the table, she saw the contents of the email. She was petrified on the spot. It was then she realized the state of her friend. She didn't know how to console her. The made up excuse by the company was logical but she realized only Luvuno was fired. This was definitely suspicious but she first had to take care of her friend. Just then, she received an email from the detective that Daniel together with Priscilla had visited the CEO's home residence on the weekend. That's when it all clicked. There was a huge conspiracy and urged john to speed up and uncover everything so that they can understand their unwarranted targeting of Luvuno.
She tried to shake up Luvuno but she didn't respond. She was nervous and called an ambulance to rush her to Bomu hospital. The Doctors upon examining her said that she was into shock and can provide some medicines but she could only truly help herself. She had been put in an IV drip as she hadn't eaten anything during the day. They told her that she should ensure Luvuno has had a balanced diet and grateful the baby wasn't affected this time. They were very surprised by thus scenario. She had wanted d to inform Luvuno's parents but she figured Luvuno wouldn't want that or she would prefer to inform them herself. She believed she would come out of this sooner. She accompanied her friend back home and couldn't help but keep on sighing. She believed that it would all come to pass.
