Chapter 3 - New memories

The morning sun streamed through Zeyu's window, gently waking him up. He stretched lazily, still feeling the cool ocean breeze and hearing the calming waves from his time with Kailu the day before. It almost felt like a dream, but the memories were real.

"It's been a while since I had this much fun with someone," he thought, reaching for his phone.

A new message popped up on the screen.

Kailu: Morning! Did you sleep well?

Zeyu chuckled before replying.

Zeyu: Yeah, I did. Yesterday was really fun.

Kailu: I know, right? We should do it again sometime. Actually... are you free today?

Zeyu thought for a moment. He didn't have any particular plans, and honestly, he wouldn't mind spending another day with Kailu.

Zeyu: I'm free. Do you have something in mind?

Kailu: There's this hidden nature trail outside the city. Not many people know about it, and the view is amazing. Wanna go explore?

Zeyu: Sounds interesting! When do we meet?

Kailu: I'll pick you up in an hour. Be ready!

Zeyu smiled as he put his phone down. He quickly got ready, feeling a rush of excitement. The idea of discovering a new place with Kailu made the day feel more promising.

An hour later, Kailu arrived in a sleek black motorcycle, wearing a casual jacket and sunglasses.

"Whoa, you ride a bike?" Zeyu asked, impressed.

"Yeah, it's more fun than driving a car," Kailu grinned, tossing Zeyu a spare helmet. "Hop on."

Without hesitation, Zeyu put on the helmet and climbed onto the bike. The engine roared to life, and they sped off down the road. The wind rushing past them felt exhilarating, and for a moment, Zeyu felt completely free.

After a while, they reached a quiet forested area. The entrance to the trail was almost hidden between the trees, as if it were a secret waiting to be discovered.

"This place is incredible," Zeyu said as he looked around.

"Told you," Kailu smirked. "Come on, let's go."

They walked along the winding trail, surrounded by tall trees and the sound of birds chirping. The deeper they went, the more peaceful it felt. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, creating a beautiful golden glow.

"How did you find this place?" Zeyu asked, stepping over a fallen branch.

"I love exploring hidden spots," Kailu shrugged. "Sometimes, the best places are the ones people don't know about."

Zeyu nodded in agreement. He felt lucky to be able to experience this.

After some time, they reached a clearing with a breathtaking view—a vast valley stretching below, covered in greenery, with a sparkling river winding through it.

"Wow..." Zeyu whispered in awe.

"It's amazing, right?" Kailu smiled.

They sat down on a large rock, enjoying the scenery in comfortable silence.

"You know," Zeyu started, "I never expected to meet someone like you."

"What do you mean?" Kailu tilted his head.

"I mean... I usually keep to myself. But ever since we met at the festival, I feel like I've known you for a long time."

Kailu chuckled. "Maybe some people are just meant to meet, no matter what."

Zeyu smiled. Maybe Kailu was right.

As the wind gently rustled the trees, the two of them sat there, appreciating the moment—one that would soon become another unforgettable memory.
