Synopsis
Like any 18 year old high school student, Kim Ji-Hye was just busy struggling with expectations and exams. The biggest worries? Overbearing parents and college entrance exams. That, of course, was the case until she accidentally found herself in an unexpected circumstance that led straight into the glowing gates of death! One moment, she was zoning out on an empty school corridor. The next? She was smack in the middle of a field that was way too over dramatic with the moon lighting up the surrounding and to add to it all, questioning all her life decisions. “What the hell? Where the HELL AM I?" Before she managed to figure out whether she had been taken hostage, sedated, or was indeed deceased, the reality had another surprise in store for her. The field evaporated. She was now in a never-ending white void. “Ah right, that is just brilliant. Another case of teleportation. Is my life really that boring that I actually find this exciting?” “Why do you think so?” a deep, unbothered voice replied. Ji-Hye screamed. Floating, there in front of her was a god that was the epitome of ‘a literal god.’ “WHO ARE YOU?” The God sighed. “Welcome Ji-Hye. I do not really know how you made it here, but… yeah, this is awkward.” Ji-Hye blinked. “Am I dead?” "Is that your final guess?" "Nope." “Then where am I?” "Alternate reality." “And how did I get here?” "Because your universe's God did an ‘oopsie’ and misplaced you." “Excuse me?” Apparently, some celestial treasure named Ezekiel was supposed to keep her safely in her time screwed up so badly that she ended up in a reality she wasn’t even supposed to exist in. THANKS EZEKIEL! "So what now?" Ji-hye asked, still trying to process the fact that divine beings are capable of making stupid mistakes The god who introduced himself in a head-turning fashion as Kashigami sighed once more. “Well, I need to send you back… but the thing is, I have no clue which universe is yours. So it might take some time.” “And how long is ‘some time’?” “Perhaps 500 years.” Ji-hye’s eyes had never been so wide. “WHAT IN THE FU–” And there started the journey which I (the author) could describe in many different ways, but for Ji-hye, it was undoubtedly the most unhinged. ✨ READ NOW TO FIND OUT: ✔ How does Ji-hye handle being an anomaly? ✔ Will Kashigami ever be useful? Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 : Unexpected Circumstances

People often chase over unexpected circumstances.

I was no exception.

I was a simple girl living in Korea

Kim Ji-hye, an 18 year old girl in her final years of high school

I was an ordinary person who went to high school. I studied hard, I went to my classes and I did my best.

But then everything changed.

The bell finally rang, but Ji-hye didn't move. The classroom, the surrounding felt so empty to her. She often stared down at the notes on her desk, her pen writing in complete isolation. While the world blurred together.

Ji-hye felt like a puppet, in control of her parents, teachers and endless expectations that suffocated her. She thought if she kept moving, just like them, that her life would get better. But the more she tried, the lonelier she felt.

But there was someone.

Her best friend, Ha-eun

"Ji-hye! Ji-hye! " a voice screams out.

Ha-eun's voice snapped her back into the moment.

"Oh, you're still here?" Ji-hye asked, blinking.

Ha-eun was her best friend and she was very close to her.

"Of course, you're such an airhead! how could I leave you??" Ha-eun pouted.

"Haha, yeah. I'm sorry, I'm just thinking about my future." Ji-hye chuckled softly.

"Oh, well, do you have any plans yet?" Ha-eun in thought, tilted her head.

"No, not yet" Ji-hye admitted.

"It's okay, you still have time. Let's go out and have fun."

"I know, I just feel I'm burdened with everything in my life, I just want an escape." Ji-hye sighed.

"Hmm, Well you are the one to chase expectations. I mean is a perfect score every time even necessary" Ha-eun laughed.

"Haha, you're right." Ji-hye chucked as well.

"Come on, let's go" Ha-eun said eagerly.

"You go ahead today, i'll text you when i get home" Ji-hye said in a tired tone.

"Okayyyy, don't stay too late, You've been zoning out a lot lately..." Ha-eun hesitated.

Ji-hye forced a smile and waved her off.

When the classroom shut, the silence wrapped Ji-hye deeper, it wasn't just the pressure of her expectations, it was the sense of restlessness that chased her, she was stuck in a place that she felt she couldn't escape"

"Right.....might as well get off as well. " She exhaled.

She stood, shoving her books in her bag, the pen in her pocket, The school hallways are empty, Ji-hye always liked this peace.

The sky outside was already darkening.

A light breeze blows, the coldness is piercing. While she was walking she noticed something out of place. A faint but bright golden light appeared from the edge of the hallway she was walking, the hallway had been sealed off for renovations months ago.

It was strange, no one would be there at this time, but something was pulling her in, she walked towards it, the light was becoming brighter as she approached it.

"What the? is someone using a flashlight" she muttered to herself.

As the light grew brighter, Ji-hye hesitated that no flashlight could emit a glow like that and why would someone go to a place like that? It's probably some students using drugs and alcohol, But the part that always wanted her to escape this world to see something interesting pulled her forward to the strange room underground

"Hello?" Ji-hye knocked hesitantly.

There was no answer.

Ji-hye decided to open the door and pushed it forward, the door groaned in complete silence, the golden light then spilled all over her, flooding the hallway, to protect herself she covered her eyes, stepping ever so slightly inside.

"Is someone there? What is going on?" Ji-hye froze.

The light now dimmed for her, instead of seeing an old dusty room, the room turned into a moonlit field, Ji-hye froze.

"Where am i?"

The door behind her closed. and before she could react.

"What is going on? What is this place?" she murmured, spinning around.

She was no longer at school. She was in a field filled with trees, and a moonlit night. She didn't even notice that it was already night.

"Hello?" Her voice echoed through the forest.

"What the, is this some kind of space warp or something?"

Suddenly Ji-hye is teleported to a space which is completely white. Startling her.

Ji-hye gasped.

"Ah great. another case of teleportation. Is my life so boring that I find this actually fun?"

"Who knows?" a deep and resonant voice appears.

"WHO IS THAT?" Ji-hye jumped.

The voice chuckled. "Welcome Ji-hye, I don't really know how you got here but. I was expecting you."

Ji-hye narrowed her eyes.

"Who are you? Are you like a god? And why am I here?"

"Well, that's a long story. Your god who was supposed to watch over your reality kinda did an oopsie."

"Wait, what?" Ji-hye blinked.

"I am a god of another universe. And you jumped into a time and space hole which your universe's god was responsible for."

"Wow, uh. This is kind of a lot to take. I'm dead? WAIT I'm Dead????" She stared blankly.

"Oh no, not really. Your soul is in this white space. I called it here. you see you jumped to a new reality. this is the first time ive seen Ezikiel fuck up this much"

"Wait, did you just cuss?" she choked.

"Yeah? you think gods can't cuss?"

"I thought they were more... refined." Ji-hye shrugged.

"Not with that attitude. Anyway, therefore you are an anomaly."

"So I am Miles Morales?" Ji-hye smirked.

"What?"

"Nothing"

The god ignored her reference.

"Anyway, I will have to send you back to your universe, but not until i find the right one. So sit tight"

"Ok, can i ask for one thing though"

"Aren't you supposed to be almighty? Don't you have powers to find my universe in an instant?"

"Ok, listen up you brat. I don't have super powers and this is the first time in 2 million years of existence. This has happened and it's NOT even my fault! Your universe's god has a screw loose. So shut your mouth."

"I- sorry, i guess i wasn't the only one with a shitty day. Sorry, so like what is your name?"

"I am known as the Almighty One"

Ji-hye rolled her eyes. "Okay but. What is your real name? like your true name. the name given to you"

"I-"

"Say it"

"Kashigami" The god sighed.

"So, I was talking to Kashigami and he is the same as me, having a shitty day" Ji-hye grinned.

"I-"

"Don't say anything"
