Chapter 7 - Azrael captured

Azrael was weakened after the battle, but what truly broke him was the binding that imprisoned him. This spell was capable of holding even the foundations of the entire domain, a domain that kept the four infinite realms united. The binding not only drained the opponent's magic but also trapped them eternally under the will of the caster.

Azrael: "Damn First Rising Sun, release me or I will kill you!"

First Rising Sun: "Really? Oh, how adorable! If you can't even escape my binding, how do you think you'll face me? I am a god in all my glory, and you are nothing but a rotten shadow. Do you really think someone like you could ever kill me?"

Azrael: "Tsk... How annoying you are..."

First Rising Sun: "Soon we'll arrive at the kingdom, a kingdom you don't deserve to set foot in, filthy, disgusting rat."

Azrael: "Can you shut up already, you stupid glowing guy?"

When they arrived at the kingdom, the First Rising Sun didn't hesitate for a second to take Azrael before the king.

King: "So, this is the cause of all the trouble?"

Azrael: "I'm not afraid of a god like t—"

Before he could finish the sentence, Azrael felt an overwhelming pressure on his chest, a force coming directly from the king.

King: "If you couldn't even defeat the First Rising Sun, the most powerful knight in this kingdom after me, do you think you can speak to me like that? The First Rising Sun is the light in the middle of the night."

"When the first Rising Sun stops casting its light on reality, everything that doesn't touch its light is consumed in an infinite night tainted with blood: The Blood Night."

Azrael: "So this is your power? Tsk... How bothersome. But you're missing something important: omniscience, right? Were you hiding your power because you knew I have omniscience?"

King: "By what right do you accuse me of lacking omniscience? Do you dare mock me, pest?"

Azrael tried to unleash his power, but the light binding wouldn't allow him to release a single drop of magic.

First Rising Sun: "Are you trying to free yourself? Hahahaha… How naïve."

The knight approached Azrael to mock him further, but Azrael spat at him with contempt.

Azrael: "Do you think your words discourage me, little shitty sun? I'll kill you and your king. I can see infinite possibilities."

King: "And in none of them do you emerge victorious, right?"

Azrael fell silent, not in surrender, but because he had a plan. Among the infinite possibilities he could foresee, there were only two ways to escape.

The First Rising Sun took him to his cell and shoved him roughly inside.

Azrael: "Damn knight! Could you be more careful, disgusting glowing sun?"

Meanwhile, Nevaeh was handing out cakes to the knights of the castle when she heard a scream that echoed through the halls.

Distant voice: "Damn knights of the light!"

Nevaeh: "How strange... That voice sounds familiar. I'll go see. Wait here, please, María."

María: "Sure, Nevaeh. Be careful."

When Nevaeh reached the cells, she saw Azrael trapped by the infinite binding.

Azrael: "Nevaeh? Is that you?"

Nevaeh: "Damn it! They've captured you! And not just anyone, it was the First Rising Sun! That idiot... How dare he touch you? I'll undo this spell, though I can't promise anything. I'm not used to fighting or doing things like this, but I belong to this kingdom and have divine blood in my veins."

Any being of light could undo a light spell. Nevaeh canceled the binding from outside the cell and replaced it with a decorative spell that mimicked the original.

Nevaeh: "Recover your power in the meantime, okay?"

Azrael: "There's no time for that! He has omniscience. He'll know what you did. Get me out of here quickly!"

Upon hearing Azrael's urgency, Nevaeh broke the cell, which was also made of light, and they both escaped into the nearby forest.

In the forest, the light flowers created a magical atmosphere, a perfect place to stop for a moment.

Azrael: "W-Well, Nevaeh... What now?"

Nevaeh: "Relax. Even if we have to flee, this place is lovely, don't you think?"

Azrael blushed as he looked into Nevaeh's eyes. He shook his head, trying to regain his usual composure, but he felt something inside him was changing.

Azrael: "What if we keep going before the great and powerful First Rising Sun comes?" (he said with a nervous laugh).

Nevaeh: "Oh, come on. Don't be so shy. Your eyes give you away."

Azrael: "Ugh... What a vulgar woman."

Meanwhile, the First Rising Sun already knew about Azrael and Nevaeh's escape. Though he was furious, he did nothing to stop them. In his heart, he harbored a secret love for Nevaeh, but the fear that she would hate him paralyzed him.

Azrael: "I don't sense any threats... How strange."

Nevaeh: "Isn't that a good thing?" (she said as she moved closer to Azrael).

Azrael: "Y-Yeah... Though I must admit, it comforts me to spend time with you, I highly doubt this can continue like this."

Nevaeh: "Why don't you become a Rising Sun?"

Azrael: "Because I have people to protect. Even though your dear knight killed 72 million soldiers and 5 million civilians in an instant, I couldn't do anything. I knew he was coming, but still..."

Nevaeh: "With all your power and speed, couldn't you intervene?"

Azrael: "Well... He's really powerful too. It's not as easy as you think. If only I could have..." (he said in a sad voice).

Nevaeh: "Shh... I'm here with you, okay? Don't be sad." (she said as she hugged him gently).

Azrael: "Thank you, Nevaeh."
