Upon crossing, they were met by a man with an imposing presence, the Crescent Sun 1.
Crescent Sun 1: Well, I lose track of you, and suddenly I feel your presence here. Nevaeh, what happened to your eyes?
Azrael stepped forward firmly.
Azrael: Stop messing around and let us through. I've come to join you.
Crescent Sun 1: You? Us? How naive! Over my dead body.
Nevaeh: Enough, you two fools!
Both men turned to her, exchanged glances, and, as if in synchronized reflection, replied in unison:
Azrael and Crescent Sun 1: YES!
The scene, ridiculously comical, sparked a new laugh from Nevaeh, as the atmosphere relaxed again… at least for now.
Upon reaching the kingdom, Crescent Sun 1 escorted Azrael before the king.
King: You again?
Before he could say anything else, Nevaeh quickly stepped forward.
Nevaeh: Hey, father! Please, he's my friend, and he wants to join the Crescent Suns.
King: What? Join the Crescent Suns? Are you out of your mind, daughter? He killed a Crescent Sun and almost ended the Fifth Crescent Sun! How can I trust him?
Azrael: Tsk... What a hassle. Pathetic Sun 1, why don't you use your omniscience, huh?
Crescent Sun 1: How dare you call me that, little rat?! —he growled, offended—. Well… I don't sense any bad intentions, my king. —he added firmly.
King: Fine. You will be Crescent Sun 2. But listen carefully: if you make one wrong move, all the Suns will attack and kill you instantly, because I will order it myself.
Azrael: Yeah, yeah... Now, give me my tunic.
King: Tunic? You'll wear armor or something worthy of the kingdom.
Azrael: I feel more comfortable in a white tunic. Give me a tunic.
King: Fine...
The king raised his voice, calling for his knights.
King: Bring a white tunic immediately!
Knights: Yes, Your Majesty!
The knights returned with the tunic. Azrael put it on, but his eyes remained red.
Azrael: Ugh, what a bother... Give me some of your power, and I'll turn it into a magical source that flows endlessly.
King: You? A mere drop of power won't be enough to obtain full divine power.
Azrael: I have the ability to turn a drop of magic into an infinite source.
Azrael took Nevaeh's hands, making her blush once again.
Azrael: Focus and try to give me divine power.
Nevaeh closed her eyes, concentrating. Her pupils glowed white again as she transferred her power to Azrael.
Azrael: Now, focus again and try to release your shadow power.
As the shadow power was unleashed, the king noticed something he had overlooked before: Nevaeh possessed both divine and shadow powers, and her eyes were also red.
King: How is it possible that Nevaeh has these powers?
Azrael: She wanted to be powerful, so I gave her some of my power. What else?
King: How dare you stain one of my citizens with your power?!
Azrael: Stop whining. Her dream is to be a Crescent Sun knight, and she will be.
The king sighed, resigned.
King: Fine... Fine.
Azrael and Nevaeh left the royal hall. Azrael, now with yellow eyes and his white tunic, walked alongside Nevaeh, whose red eyes shone intensely, highlighting her black attire. Both were determined to train and strengthen their powers to face the threats that had once seemed insurmountable.
