Chapter 6 - chapter 6:: Unknown feelings

Anna attempts to hold back, but as soon as his lips touch hers, her urge to resist disappears. She surrenders to the strong feelings she has had since she took his name five years ago. Their kiss starts off closed-mouthed, but then he gently nudges her lips with his tongue, exploring just inside her mouth. Anna felt so nervous that she shut her eyes. Kissing him felt amazing, like she was experiencing a new life. She had kissed a few others before, but none compared to how she felt kissing Henry Akinola Castle in her room. His fingers gently moved to the back of her neck while his other hand rested on her face. His hand is on her neck, holding it steady as the kiss deepens. His breath brushes against her skin, and she feels powerless to stop it. She has judged Henry and his way of getting girls into bed, something she has never experienced until now. This is why so many girls would do anything to be with him. Just the feel of his skin against hers sends shivers through her, fueling her strong desire to be with him. His hand slips into her shorts, and she can't help but moan at his touch, squeezing her eyes shut.He breaks their kiss and gets up, pulling her along with him. He takes her hand and places it on his chest while his tongue explores every part of her lips, which feels intense. Suddenly, a message from Edward pops into her head. Edward had asked, "Do you really think Henry loves you? He just wants to show everyone that he can have any woman he wants, whether it's you or someone else." It's not a lie; Henry has told her those same words before. After five years of wishing and believing things would improve, she was beginning to lose hope. She steps back from him, and when she opens her eyes, she sees nothing but desire in his gaze. "Anna," he says, his voice slightly rough. She starts to walk toward the door. "Please, Henry, I had a long day. Not now," she replies, unable to look him in the eyes again because she knows how much he craves her. "Good night," she said as she glanced at the clock and crossed her arms over her chest. "Is it morning already?" He nodded and slowly walked out of the room. Her eyes caught the outline in his pants, making her feel nervous and causing her mouth to go dry. He walks out, and she dashes back to her bed, sliding under the blanket and touching her face. She can't believe what just happened. Henry returns to his room, shuddering at the cold look in Anna's eyes when she told him to leave her room. "Moron, why can't it just be a simple kiss with you?" He cringes at the idea of what she might be thinking about him.

Edward has just woken up and looks at his phone, but Anna hasn't replied to his message. He hears the kids crying in their room. He wishes he hadn't listened to his mom and messed up his own life just to get his dad's approval. Now, he can't even stand being around Nora. As he walks down the stairs, he thinks about Anna; she has seen his message but hasn't responded. "Hey Edward, can you help me hold one of the twins?" Nora asked, sweating as she struggled with both kids in her arms. "Don't we have nannies for that?" She tried to rock them, but they just wouldn't calm down. Then Elena came down the stairs, glaring at Edward. "When was the last time you held your own kids, Edward? She didn't make you marry her, but now you treat her like garbage," she said. Edward just scoffed. "You invited your sister into our family issues?" Nora laughs, but she shoots him a sharp look. "She notices how you always treat me and my kids, Edward. I believed you were a blessing, but now I see that even the devil can appear as a friend." He looks at her with frustration in his eyes. "You can have the house with your sister," Edward says as he storms up the stairs. Nora places the kids in their chairs and starts to chase after him, but Elena pulls her back.

"Let him go, Nora. Did you see how Henry walked away from me for Anna? No matter what you do, he will leave you," Elena said. Nora's face twisted with anger. "Are you saying I should just throw away my marriage?" Nora shouted, tears in her eyes as she confronted Elena. "I don't understand why they are both drawn to her, but it's not your fault; it's Anna's fault for barging into our lives and taking the men we care about," Elena replied with a sardonic smile.
