Chapter 7 - chapter 7:: The Revenge look

Anna stretches as she wakes up and walks down the stairs, flashing a bright smile. "Good morning, Anna," Henry says with a smug grin, wiping his lips with his hand. On the table, there is a full spread of breakfast waiting for her. On the table are fried plantains, yam, and potatoes served with egg and vegetables, along with freshly squeezed juice and some avocado on the side. "Good morning," Henry says again, his mouth full of breakfast. "Morning," she replies, blushing. He pulls out a chair, and she sits down. "Mum asked us to come over for dinner at her place," Anna says, causing Henry to raise his eyebrows. His mom has always stayed neutral about the fight between him and Edward. She treats Edward more like her own son than she considers Henry's feelings. Remembering the past, he recalls how she pleaded with him to leave Anna alone, saying it was because of their love. Even after marrying Nora, he made Anna wait alone for years while he finished his studies at Stanford. Perhaps he deserves how his mom treats him after everything he put her through. She had called him earlier about the family dinner and even sent his dad to remind him, but he didn't want to go, knowing Edward would be there. "She says there's dinner at her house on Sunday evening," Henry hears, and his expression goes blank as he turns back to his breakfast. "I have really missed her," Anna says with a smile, but Henry becomes more upset. "Are you missing her or Edward?" His question takes her by surprise. He then gets up from the breakfast table and walks away.

She doesn't understand why he has been acting so weird since their last therapy session. She tries to finish her breakfast when Henry walks out in a navy blue suit and black leather loafers. They both look at each other as he passes by. He gets into his black Audi SUV and drives off while Anna pinches her own cheek. "Why does he believe I still have feelings for his brother? The only reason Edward and I started dating was to make you jealous. I can't believe he runs a multibillion-dollar company but is so clueless about understanding feelings," she murmurs to herself. After finishing her breakfast, she marched to her room, feeling angry at Henry. She chose to wear something that would show her revenge. She selected a blue denim skirt with a high slit, a white shirt with short, cute sleeves, and a pair of ankle strap stiletto heels. She styled her hair into a ponytail, just the way Henry likes it. She remembers this because he came home drunk two months ago. While she was helping him to bed, he admitted that he liked it when she tied her hair in a ponytail. She gets into her car, and even the sentinels can't help but stare. Then, she drives away quickly. In the office, Henry enters Steven's office. "Steven, from now on, if any meeting goes past nine p.m., you will receive a sanction letter," Henry states. Steven stands up, shocked and confused about why Mr. Castle is saying this. "Do you understand?" Henry asks. Steven nods and replies, "Yes, sir." As Henry turns to leave, he notices his personal assistant running toward him with a schedule of his daily activities, he ran toward him. "Hello, sir, your brother is in the building." He halted when he noticed Anna entering the building with her Louis Vuitton Capucines handbag. He watched her closely as she rode the escalator up, captivated by how she wore her hair in a ponytail. Anna is a girl with brown skin, and he struggles to stay calm when she's out in public. He approaches her directly, leaving Levi his assistant behind. As he gets closer to Anna, her heart starts to race. His stare is steady and firm, making her slow down her pace. They are now just a few inches apart, and her heart is beating wildly. It's kind of like heart failure. However, he keeps going; they have never been the type of couple to display their feelings. Anna halts just a few inches away from him, and he steps closer, reducing the distance between them. His gaze made her feel emotions that she would prefer not to think about in a public place. "We need to talk," his voice is stern and even a bit angry. He turns and spots Edward, who is wearing a suit that looks just like his. Edward smirks slyly. "Hey bro," Edward grins wickedly, Henry scowls with a frown as Anna shifts her focus away from him.

This has been happening a lot since their wedding; every time they try to get closer, Edward appears. "Anna, it's great to see you!" Edward exclaims as he pulls her away from Henry. Henry releases her wrist, and Edward wraps her in a hug. Anna moves back from him and lifts her head.
