Present day
Henry sits in the bar with Kyle and Jayden, who are both looking at him. "Henry, can you at least answer her call?" he hears. He looks at his phone and sets it aside. "this the only time she cares about me, She loves my brother Edward; I could see it in her eyes when I hit him. She hates me just like she always has," he thinks as he downs another shot of tequila. "Will you hold her responsible? After all you did to her that caused her to lose her scholarship, she fought hard to get into university because of you. Now you think marrying her will make everything perfect?" They turn around, and Jamie is right behind them. "Come on, Jamie, can't you see he's already having a rough day?" Jayden gets up. "I guess you spoiled him, and that's why he did all those things, thinking he could marry her and everything would just work out." Henry looks at him. "I never believed that everything would turn out fine. My heart just can't let go. Why are you here?" Henry asked, feeling upset. "Want to take a wild guess?" Henry then turned to the bartender. "She's worried? How nice! It makes me feel special," he says as he takes another sip of his martini. "If you hadn't pushed her away back then, she wouldn't have depended so much on Edward. You know she always asked about you, even after all that happened?" Henry lifts his head and tilts it to one side. "She did?" Jamie laughs and tilts his head the same way.
"yes she did, Henry. " Jamie tells him .
"Why would she care?" he asked, downing another glass of whiskey. "Oddly enough, she does care, but you're too caught up in yourself to realize how much she hurts every time you throw a fit for attention." Hot tears sparkles down his eyes. "Jamie, please stop! Can't you see he's not okay?" Kyle looked at him, his eyes full of hope. "What does she see in him that makes her unable to love me? I try to be a good husband. I have kept my promises, but she doesn't seem to care. To Anna, I will always be the bad guy." "It's really immature of you to think like that. "Why not just talk to Anna? Instead, you choose to spend time with your friends and drink while making people like us chase after you." Jamie says spitefully "Go home." Jayden tells him "Honestly, she would be happy I'm not around." "You left the office at about eleven. It's 10:50 PM, so head home or I'll tell her I saw you drinking with your friend and you not caring about how worried she is." Henry is feeling a bit tipsy now. "You wouldn't really do that," he replies. Jamie stands up and places a check under his drink. "Go ahead and test my patience if you want to find out how much I can mess up your life. I'm giving you ten minutes. If you're not here in that time, I will call her." Jamie walks away, and Henry waves to the waiter. "Henry, I believe you should head home. We both know that Jamie dislikes you and would support Edward if things get messy," said his friend Kyle. Henry laughed. "I'm not scared of her, him, or Edward. If she wants to leave me, then let her go," Henry replied.
"What will you do when she leaves?" Jayden asked.
Henry throws his glass to the wall, you can add that to my bill "Just the thought of a divorce made you this angry, Henry. Are you really sure you can be without her?" Kyle questions, Henry felt embarrassed. Jamie was in his car, looking at his watch. He had given Henry just one more minute, and Henry still hadn't shown up in the parking lot. It was 11:10 PM when Jamie called Anna. The phone rang, but Anna was coming down the stairs to answer it. She grabs the phone and says hello, but the call suddenly drops. Jamie turns and sees Henry outside the car. "You were actually going to call her?" There is disbelief in his eyes as Anna calls again. "You need to let me take that call, or she will find out something's wrong," Jamie says as Henry passes the phone to him. "Hey Anna," he answers. "Why didn't you answer your phone?" she asks, and Jamie laughs awkwardly. "I was hanging out with Henry, but he just left the bar with Kyle and Jayden," Anna sighs. "Jamie, I know you well, and I can tell you're lying. What's going on?" Jamie chuckles. "It's nothing. I just need to go home to my wife," Jamie replies, and then he ends the call, breathing heavily into his palm. "Don't ever put me in that kind of situation again," Jamie says, Henry says Thank you and he slowly walks over to his car. Joe drives up to the Castle mansion while Anna watches him from the window. She sees him get out of the car and stumble toward the door, so she quickly returns to her seat and She focuses on the screen he's in and walks over to the table. He drops his car keys. She attempts to ignore him, but when he starts walking up the stairs, she clears her throat. "Where have you been?" He looks at her, then turns away and goes back down the stairs. "Didn't your guy Jamie call you?" he snaps at Anna. "Why didn't you answer my calls?" Anna shut her laptop and walked over to him. He looked at her with bright eyes for a moment before turning away. "Did I make you worry about me? It didn't look like it when you were holding hands with my brother in your office," he said in a low voice. She shot him a glare, and he responded with a cold stare. "Well, I'm not the one who ran away," she said, trying to sound mad and succeeding. He sighed as he looked at her, and his eyes grew darker. "At least I had the decency to run away, but you kept checking to see if he was really hurt," he said, his eyes burning with anger as his frown deepened. "Sorry, Henry, it was my mistake to worry that he might sue you for hitting him. But you know what? You're so good at reading the room that you didn't notice that," she replied, her voice icy. "Yeah, of course, because I'm the worst person alive. I guess you wish you never married me," he said in a cold, sharp whisper, sounding threatening. Anna paused, noticing the pain in his eyes.
