Episode 5
Just right after hearing that buzzing sound, upon raising up his head. Edgar jumped almost tripping back down again, something was appearing before his eyes, but he didn't know what it was.
Whatever was this thing was, it wasn't something he'd gotten used too over the years. And yes, ever since he began his new life here... It's not a secret he'd seen some of the craziest stuff.
But this one right here, was something new even for him.
Something like a holographic system formed.
[Buzz! Character Guide System Has Been Activated.]
After almost tripping Melanie or the other guard knights didn't react or respond to him, and he did make a noise when he was balancing, because what he used to maintain balance was; a glassed display case, that showcased prized armoury and weapons.
The tricky thing about this holographic system was that, when Edgar almost tripped and fell it followed him, floating around him.
"What the heck, is a Character Guide System?" Carefully looking at this mysterious new thing that appeared right in front of him.
For someone new to this magical and strange world, Edgar did have his share of knowledge about new things that came to light especially when it came to him. So he just assumed this was one of them.
So getting shocked, scared, and even freaked out like any normal sane person would... Edgar didn't even bother.
His curiosity did pique, and instead of asking many questions he decided to check for himself, a floating blue holographic thing was standing right in front of him. This new world of his wasn't that advanced when it came to technology but it had technology, the thing that set it back was that. This beautiful world was too focused on magic than anything else.
Luckily for him, he still remembered his past life and since he was living in the era of technology and science, it was going to be strange for him not to know anything about technology and it'd properties.
Edgar knew that if he allowed his curiosity to take over him, his training right here and now would take on forever and that wasn't something a ten year old was looking forward to, already he didn't want to be here in the first place.
Now imagine if he stayed here for a few more hours getting beaten up by knight dolls.
"Oh my!" He remembered that he was still in training and definitely that Melanie was waiting on him, he knew her very well. He knew that if it happened he took his sweet time he was never going to hear the end of it.
So he decided to forget about the floating message and resume training, that was clearly going to take up his whole day. Just because he was the most powerful child in the world, it didn't mean that Edgar had control over his powers.
Like the ones that always seemed to get the best of him, the only one he hasn't mastered amongst the few. Was the beyond sight, that he is being trained to master right now.
The beyond sight, was a heredatiry power each passed down from Ursula's witch family generation.
This power was amazing it was like the Maiden's Siren, but way better and more cooler.
The beyond sight was a power that allowed the user to see through anything, almost like the third eye, but the beyond sight enabled it's user to know everything. It's power was beyond anything. Hence getting named a beyond sight.
Ursula who was the only person in the world to only master this enormous and powerful power at the early age of five; making her see through anything, it didn't matter what was used to hide. She was able to see someone using invisibility, camouflage, shape shifting and the best one knew when someone was being truthful or not.
Which meant as the sole and probably the last heir of Ursula, Edgar had definitely inherited it and little did he know that he once used it. When he was still a newborn, carried by Leviticus.
Thinking that he wasted so much time and Melanie was going to be on his case, he decided to get this over with.
"I'm sorry, I was still trying to regain my strength after being pumbled by your dolls." Edgar peaks thinking that maybe Melanie is pissed as hell.
Only to find that Melanie and her knight guard were frozen still, like they were in some kind of simulation.
"Melanie? Mel?" Realizing that he just called her 'Mel' one nickname she despised more than anything else. Edgar blocked his face using his hands, cause he knew that if she ever heard him call her by that he was going to mummified.
After all that was her favourite phrase when she was pissed.
Edgar thinking about her saying those words, 'Oh you little rascal, you are going to be mummified!' forgetting that he was just thinking about it, Edgar shrieked out loud.
Something was definitely going on if Melanie hadn't reacted to the name 'Mel' and Edgar shrieking, something was wrong.
Just like typical old Edgar he neglected the thought of paying attention to his surroundings, it wasn't only Melanie and her knights that were frozen, everything was. Just like the display glass case that he pushed when he used it as balance; tipped over and stopped falling in mid-air.
"Why is she beating me up right now?" Edgar worried.
[Buzz! Buzz! Character Guide System Activated.]
One other thing he totally forgot about, one flaw about dear old Edgar who was supposed to be the most powerful child in the world was; that he seriously had one of the most annoying short attention span.
"Oh, right you there I totally forgot about you. So what do you want?" Talking to the holographic system.
What the hell was Edgar thinking that whatever this thing was, was it ever going to talk to him and have a normal conversation.
"So you don't talk, huh? One of those silent type things." Still continuing to talk to it.
It's either Edgar was caught up in the moment of seeing this magnificent thing or it is that he was so invested to his conversation.
Upon his long awaited realization, "What the hell is wrong with me, I'm talking to a floating envelope."
Intrigued by it's appearance and pixel updated system, he couldn't help but get himself to touching it. That was his plan after all.
He touched it only did he know that his hand will pass through it, making it buzz like it was about to crash down or getting a virus.
Everything around him did the same thing the darn system was doing, instead of buzzing like it did. Everything else around him fidged.
Feeling like an electric shock just stung him.
"Yikes"
While nursing his stung hand, he realised after he had removed his hand out when he saw, everything going back to the way it was.
"What just happened?" Curious.
Edgar decided once again to put his hand through the system again, this time he was smart enough to pay attention to his surroundings. Noticing how it was having an effect on everything else around him.
He got carried away.
"Woo!" Busy being childish playing with this thing, by taking and putting his hand in and out.
Time passed, maybe like the whole twenty minutes while he was busy being a child. Something he wasn't allowed to be that much in his new home and world.
One thing that Edgar had as his triumph card, was that since this was his second world he was lucky enough to still have a few traits from his former life; his intelligence and old memories.
"Alright, enough fun and games let's see what this new power can do for me." He stops and decides to be serious.

"Does the character what to view character file?" Edgar reading out loud, "Why, yes of course you got me all excited." He chooses.

Edgar reads the whole character file, seeing a lot of things that were needed to be opened. Like as always he still didn't know what this was and what it meant.
"Oooh! Temporary Powers and Abilities: Beyond Sight, exactly what I just need." Edgar smiles.
Still he didn't understand a thing about this, he knew exactly what he wanted to choose, a power and ability he needed just appeared before him. This couldn't be just a mere coincidence.
He spent time wondering and asking himself on what to do, he knew what he needed exactly, the problem was he didn't know to ask for it.
"Damn it! I see what I really need, here it is right in front of my eyes. But how the hell do I choose?" Trying to figure out a way, he snaps his fingers, "Here's an idea, why don't I chose."
This was one of the few smartest moves he can every play, which was rare for him. Because like his first world he hid his intelligence and decided to play dumb.
"I choose temporary Powers and abilities; Beyond Sight." He chose.
[Buzz: You want to use Temporary Powers & Abilities: Beyond Sight?]
"Yes!" He agreed.
[Are you sure? Y/N.]
"Yes I am sure." Edgar replied to the question.

At the end he held all the cards.
