Chapter 9 - The Chamber Of Secrets

Episode 9

Edgar had no slightest idea that if he were to touch his mother's red lipstick, it would reveal something that he never thought it was ever possible.

The whole room began to shake like it was experiencing a minor tremor.

The chair where he was sitting looking at himself straight through the mirror, vibrated.

"What the hell?" Feeling the vibrations.

Everything around him vibrated and he still maintained his balance, this was new to him, he probably thought that this was his fault. Or maybe the mirror was the cause of all this.

"Oh no, not again!" Looking at the mirror.

He falsely accused the innocent mirror, because it wasn't doing this... This vibration came from inside the walls, particularly where his mother's cosmetics were shelved.

Bang! Bang!

A hard hitting sound came from behind the shelf, the room stopped vibrating. But it still vibrated within the walls.

Edgar was still looking around trying to figure out what he had done, was this the crumble of his family's castle. He wasn't that scared but he was shooked, thanks to a lesson from Leviticus.

He taught him how to remained calm in situations like this, and as someone who came from one other Earth; he does recall learning in kindergarten what to do in a situation where you think there might be an earthquake.

Edgar did everything he could possibly remember he was smart enough to combine the two lessons from kindergarten and Leviticus; remain calm, never to panic, and always look out for his surroundings.

All that was working like a charm lucky for him, he didn't get hurt.

His mother's shelf opened itself apart, revealing the stone cold grey wall behind it.

"Oh, oh!" Thinking he definitely broke it.

The hard stoned wall cracked. Cracks appeared from bottom and from the top, dust crumbled.

Edgar stood still just watching instead of panicking and calling for help he just watched, it would be a surprising miracle if something like a wall shaking made him poop his pants.

That would be evidence that he wasn't the smartest amongst them all.

The cracks kept on cracking from bottom and up, until the cracks met halfway in the centre, the wall up opened up, slowly.

Edgar instead of running and looking the other way he waiting until the wall finished splitting up.

An passage way appeared, showing what look like those secret passages that they usually show in adventure movies or horrors.

Edgar gulped, looking at what use to be a stone wall turned into nothing but a long and stretchy passage that was waiting to be explored.

"Whoa!" Surprised as he got closer to the entrance.

He looked at the lipstick that he still held on his hands, with dirt crumbling.

"Hello? Anyone there?!" He called, his voice echoed.

Edgar took a deep breath, convincing himself that this is all normal and what's the worst that could happen. All sense of his reasons were dominant, what he saw was a place he can explore.

"Should I go in and explore, I mean check?" Taking to himself, there was nothing but silence and the echo of this mysterious passage echoed drops of water.

"What's the worse that could happen? I'm just checking, plus it's not like I'm in some kind of horror movie." He continued to talk to himself, until he convinced himself.

Curiosity piqued and took over, he entered the passage to explore what lies beneath ahead, it was really creepy and giving those shouldn't be here vibes. Even if he wanted to turn back around it wasn't going to be that easy, he'd already walked awhile so he was bit far from the entrance.

Edgar was feeling some kind of chills that this place gave; he wasn't dressed for this kind of occasion, matter of fact he was still his dirty and battered white-ish clothes.

He followed the straight and narrow passage the truth is he wasn't in the castle no more, he was more like inside a cave; it was dark and eerie, rough and damp stalactites were hanging from the ceiling, giving off this black and glossy appearance.

Whatever this place was Edgar didn't need to be Eisten to know that he wasn't supposed to be here, he needed to turn back around.

Each step he took was a distance further away from the entrance, the cold breeze was coming from the water under the bridge. That appeared from nowhere with it's blue and green illuminating water.

Curious about the coldness that felt below zero degrees celsius, he looks around that's when he saw that the scenery of the cave had changed.

He almost fell after seeing this shocking discovery.

Edgar looked back thinking that he should turn around, this was getting overwhelming for him and the truth was he couldn't handle something like this.

Looking back he saw no path showing the way he came in, it was totally different as if unknowingly he stepped into another dimension.

"Fuck!" He used that word for the first time.

Fearful of this current situation he had to face the fact that he was trapped in here and had to keep moving forward, if he wanted to live another day.

"Phew!" He exhaled loudly, "okay Edgar you can do this. What could be more scary for you the child of the Matter House, the prince?" He really tried not to show his fear.

It seemed like it was working for a short period of time, until he heard a growl echoing somewhere unknown.

Upon hearing it, "You know what screw this!" He just ran forward without giving it a second thought to look back.

He ran like half a mile and was now tired all of a sudden, breathing heavily, short of breath.

He looked around once again, everything had changed again the scenery was way different than where he was.

"What's wrong with this place?" Looking at the new scenery.

Nothing had changed that much, the stalactites were still hanging from the ceiling and the rocks on the side of the walls were still damp and rough; the only thing that had changed was the ground that was now obsidian sand; black, shiny and smooth.

Confused he once again overlooked to pay attention his surroundings, another vibration took place, shaking the whole area the rocks on the wall disintegrated. Showing a big ancient looking golden-ish door.

Written with unreadable hieroglyphics and ancient long lost tongue.

"What in the?" Seeing this place for the very first time.

Edgar walked closer to this sealed door, touched it and then something he clearly had forgotten about happened.

[Buzz! Character Guide System Allows Character To Read.]

[Upon anyone who stumbled in the Cave of Secrets and made it all to the door of the Chamber of Secrets, this individual should read and make out the words written and engraved on the door.]

Edgar was speechless in his eyes he saw this message that translated this whole thing.

He began to read it word for word, "Written on this door are secrets that only the pure bloods can only know, what lies ahead are secrets of the secret society of the Death Mages. A secret society that awaits the awakening of the---" His eyes lit up and turned purple along with the writings on the door.

'What should we do about this? You heard what the Oracle said about your child.'

Edgar suddenly heard voices of people talking.

'What does the Oracle know, huh? As we holding this meeting she's in suspended animation!' someone who sounded like a woman was really pissed off.

'And who is to blame for that? Isn't it your demonic child who you claim you gave birth yourself too?' a man's voice was arguing.

'Prince Edgar was birthed naturally we didn't have to make a sacrifice and make a deal with you know who.' a calm cool voice that sounded a lot like Leviticus tried to defend.

'Oh silence! You mere servant, this is between the pure bloods of the society and not a summoned demon!' the man really not having it.

'So what do you suggest that we do?' a woman's voice was now sounding a lot like Ursula.

'We get rid of him! Before he gets rid of all of us!' he suggested.

'No way! We are not killing my only son! Over my dead body!" Ursula being defensive and standing her ground.

'Don't be an idiot Ursula! Look what he did to your servant! He blew out her eyes!' the man stating evidence.

'No! We are not killing my son, what does the Oracle know?! She's just sayin' stuff!' Ursula now sounding like she's crying.

'Ursula we have to do this, if we don't you know what will happen to us, you know of the prophecy that was prophesied by the all knowing. Magnus! And don't forget he is the most powerful seer.' the man sounding like he has calmed down.

'No I will not take the word of a psychopath seer who cursed us!' Ursula not having it.

'Ursula your son is---'
