(FIRST NIGHT)
Lexi ran downstairs, her bag slung over her shoulder, knowing she was already late. She quickly grabbed the tea that had been left for her and took a few swift sips before dashing out the door. She emerged from the mansion just in time to see Jameson pulling away in his car. She ran towards him, calling out his name, but he ignored her and drove off without even a glance in her direction.
Lexi rolled her eyes in frustration and checked the time on her phone. Another car pulled up beside her immediately, and an elderly man stepped out, smiling kindly at her.
"Get in, ma'am. I'll be the one taking you to school today," he said, holding open the door for her.
Lexi smiled and thanked him, grateful for the ride. As they drove to college, she couldn't help but think about Jameson's behavior. Why was he being so rude to her? She pushed the thought aside and focused on the day ahead.
When they arrived at college, Lexi took a deep breath and stepped out of the car. She sighed to herself, feeling a bit nervous about her second day. She had no idea what to expect, but she was determined to make the most of it.
As she entered her department, Gemma waved enthusiastically from across the room. Lexi smiled and made her way over to join her friend. by guy
"Hey, how's it going?" Gemma asked, eyeing Lexi's frazzled expression.
Lexi shook her head, laughing. "Just a crazy morning.
.
.
.
"You're having lectures at 12 pm and you're already here?" Gemma said as they walked through the corridor.
"I don't want to stay at home," Lexi replied.
"At least I can study at the library till twelve." She added.
"So you're a nerd? Cool!"Gemma chuckled.
"I don't think so."Lexi laughed.
Gemma's eyes sparkled with excitement.
"Should we go shopping today?" She asked.
Lexi shook her head. "Not today, I don't need anything for now."
Gemma pouted cutely. "I want us to have fun together."
As they turned a corner, they were suddenly surrounded by a group of giggling students. Lexi rolled her eyes as the girls started calling out to the SUPERS, who were walking towards them.
"Jameson, please look at me! I love you so much!"
"Freddie, you're so hot!"
"Jordan, can I be your girlfriend?"
Lexi couldn't believe how shameless the girls were being. Jordan smiled and waved at her, and she smiled back. Freddie also gave her a gentle smile, but Jameson didn't even spare her a glance.
Gemma looked at her in shock.
"Wow, what the heck is going on? I mean, who are you?" She asked.
"They're my friends, okay?
And I'm Lexi Thompson."Lexi smiled.
As Wayne arrived, the girls started calling out to him too.
"Wow, Wayne looks hotter with blue hair!" "Wow, he's so handsome!" "Please look at me!"
But Wayne didn't spare any of them a glance until he got near Lexi. He winked at her, and the students gasped while Lexi blushed.
As they returned to class, Lexi noticed the hateful glares she was receiving from the girls.
"What's up with them?" she asked Gemma in confusion.
Gemma smiled. "I think you have plenty of enemies. I can't blame them though - three of the most popular boys in school gave you their attention. I'd be mad too." She said.
"So childish."Lexi scoffed.

"Wow, this shit is very serious," Jordan said, scrolling through the pictures of Lexi and Wayne on the school blog.
"They're acting like lovers. Maybe something is truly between them." He added while showing Freddie too.
"I know, right? They look so into each other. I'm surprised Wayne is like this."Freddie nodded in agreement.
Jameson continued playing his game, ignoring them.
"Surprising right?" Jordan said. "He was always so cold, but he looks different around her."
"And also, have you noticed how much time they've been spending together? It's like they're inseparable."Freddie added.
Jameson suddenly stopped playing his game.
"You both should stop talking about them." He cut in sharply.
"Are you jealous?"Jordan teased.
"Heck no! You both know how much I hate those two people you're talking about. It's irritating to my ears."Jameson scoffed.
Just then, Victoria walked in and went straight to Jameson, hugging him tightly.
"Let's get out of here," Jameson said, dragging her away.
Jordan watched them leave and turned to Freddie.
"Why did I have the feeling that she's just wasting her time?" He asked.
"I did too, and I told her, but she wouldn't listen."Freddie shrugged.
"You're so bad, Freddie."Jordan laughed.
"Hey, someone's got to tell the truth."Freddie grinned.
.
.
.
"Look at all this, she is shameless right? She is not even hiding it," Victoria said, her voice dripping with venom as she showed Jameson the pictures of Lexi and Wayne.
"I mean, who does she think she is, parading around with another man like that?" She added.
"Why are you showing me this, Victoria?"Jameson raised an eyebrow, seemingly uninterested.
"We can show this to your parents, so they can know the type of person you married. I mean, they need to know what's going on, right?"Victoria's eyes narrowed.
"You think my parents will be moved by this? They're not even doing anything suspicious. They won't even care."Jameson scoffed.
"But Jameson, don't you see? This is exactly what I'm talking about. She's always doing this, taking everything that belongs to me. And now, she's after you too."Victoria's face twisted in frustration.
Jameson's expression softened slightly, but his tone remained firm. "Victoria, I understand why you're upset, but I don't think this is the way to handle it. We can't just start showing pictures around and expecting people to take sides."
Victoria's eyes welled up with fake tears, and she flung herself into Jameson's arms.
"I'm just scared, Jameson. I don't want to lose you. She's been taking everything that belongs to me right from the moment she was born. My parents' attention, my friends...now you. I can't lose you too." She said
Jameson patted her back awkwardly, clearly uncomfortable with the display of emotion.
"Don't worry, Victoria. We'll figure something out. I'll make sure she doesn't come between us."
Victoria pulled back, a calculating glint in her eye.
"I know exactly what we'll do. We'll make her life a living hell, so she'll leave on her own." She said wickedly.
"Sure" Jameson said, his expression turning cold.
.
.
.
Jameson paced around the sitting room, checking his watch for what felt like the hundredth time. He was losing his patience already, and Lexi was still nowhere to be found. Finally, the door opened, and Lexi walked in, looking like she didn't have a care in the world.
"Where have you been?" Jameson demanded, his anger evident in his tone.
"I've been waiting for hours here." He added.
"Why would you wait for me?"Lexi scoffed, rolling her eyes.
"You're with that jerk, aren't you?"Jameson's eyes narrowed.
Lexi shrugged, her expression unbothered. "It's none of your business."
"You're becoming more shameless by the day. I can't believe the type of girl I married."Jameson's face twisted in disgust.
"Jerk."Lexi shot back, her voice rising.
Jameson's eyes flashed with anger, but he bit back his retort.
"I give you five minutes to get ready and meet me downstairs. My parents want us to come for dinner." he said coldly.
Lexi didn't say anything, just turned and went upstairs. Jameson watched her go, his jaw clenched in frustration.
Upstairs, Lexi quickly showered and dressed, her mind wandering back to her fun day with Gemma. She had never felt so carefree and happy. Gemma had taken her to some amazing places, and Lexi couldn't believe how much she had enjoyed herself.
As she deliberated on what to wear, Lexi's eyes landed on her tomboy outfit. She grinned mischievously, knowing Jameson would hate it. She put on the baggy pants and oversized shirt, feeling a sense of liberation wash over her.
When she went back downstairs, Jameson's expression was priceless. He scoffed, his eyes scanning her outfit in disgust.
"You're wearing that?" he asked incredulously.
Lexi just shrugged and smiled sweetly. "Yeah, I am."
Jameson didn't say anything else, just turned and walked out the door. Lexi followed him, running to catch up as he strode to the car. They drove out of the mansion in silence, the tension between them palpable.
.
.
.
"You are welcome," Mrs. Newton said with a bright smile as they entered the mansion. Lexi smiled at the couple, who were the only people who cared about her. Janelle hugged her brother but ignored Lexi and continued pressing her phone. They all went to the dining room, where a lot of dishes were on the table. They started eating.
"So, how is college?"Mrs. Newton asked.
"I like it," Lexi smiled.
"I am so glad to hear that," Mrs. Newton said.
"How about my boy?" Mr. Newton asked. "I hope he is doing well and taking good care of you?"
Lexi and Jameson's eyes met for a moment.
"He is," Lexi said. "He even helps me with school too." She said.
Jameson rolled his eyes, and Lexi continued, "He's been really helpful."
"Really? I am so happy right now."Mrs. Newton smiled.
Janelle scoffed and left the table, and Lexi watched her go sadly until she was out of sight.
"I think you guys should visit your parents too," Mr. Newton suddenly said.
"We will do that," Jameson smiled as they moved to the living room.
"I want to go to Janelle's room," Lexi said while standing up.
Mrs. Newton directed her, and Lexi left.
"I hope you are not bullying her," Mr. Newton asked Jameson when Lexi left.
"She told you herself," Jameson scoffed.
"Who knows?" Mrs. Newton said. "She may be covering for you."
"I didn't treat her badly," Jameson scoffed and brought out his phone.
.
.
.
Lexi knocked on the door gently before entering the room. Janelle was lying on her bed, her phone in hand, and a scowl on her face.
"Your room is so beautiful," Lexi said, looking around at the decorations.
Janelle's scowl deepened.
"What are you doing here?" She asked.
Lexi sat down beside her on the bed.
"I wanted to have a conversation with you. We haven't talked before." She said.
Janelle raised an eyebrow.
"I'm not interested." Janelle said.
"I can see that you don't like me."Lexi smiled sadly.
"You think? You ruined my brother's life."Janelle scoffed.
Lexi's expression turned defensive.
"I didn't ruin your brother's life." She said.
"Yes, you did! You trapped him into this marriage."Janelle snapped.
Lexi shook her head.
"I didn't even know when the engagement happened. I was shocked, just like he was. But I'm the one getting blamed instead. That's so unfair." Lexi said.
Janelle's expression turned cold. "You're just trying to justify your actions."
Lexi stood up, her eyes welling up with tears. "I'm not trying to justify anything. I just want to talk to you and clear things up."
Janelle turned her back on Lexi, dismissing her. "I don't want to hear it."
Lexi left the room, feeling frustrated and hurt. Janelle didn't say anything, just kept looking at her phone with a scowl on her face.
As Lexi closed the door behind her, she heard Janelle mutter under her breath.
"I hate her."
Lexi sighed and walked away, feeling like she had tried her best to make amends, but it wasn't good enough. She wondered if things would ever get better between her and Janelle.

"Jameson, dear, why don't you show Lexi around the mansion?" Mrs. Newton suggested, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.
Jameson hesitated, clearly not wanting to spend time with Lexi. "I don't know, Mother. I'm busy."
But Mrs. Newton was insistent. "Nonsense, dear. You have plenty of time. And Lexi would love to see the mansion, wouldn't you, dear?"
Lexi nodded, feeling a bit awkward. "Yes, that would be great. Thank you."
Jameson sighed and stood up, his expression resigned. "Fine. Let's get this over with."
He walked out of the room, with Lexi following behind him. They walked in silence, Jameson not even bothering to point out any of the mansion's features.
As they walked, Lexi tried to make small talk. "This is a beautiful mansion. How long has your family lived here?"
Jameson grunted. "Long enough."
Lexi tried again. "I love the gardens. Are they your favorite part of the mansion?"
Jameson didn't even respond, just kept walking.
Lexi started to feel uncomfortable, realizing that Jameson was deliberately trying to make her feel unwelcome. She decided to stop trying to talk to him and just focused on taking in the sights.
As they walked, Lexi noticed that the mansion was even more beautiful than she had initially thought. There were intricate carvings on the walls, and the floors were made of polished marble. She couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the opulence surrounding her.
Despite Jameson's silence, Lexi was determined to enjoy the tour. She asked him questions about the different rooms they passed.
"Can you just stop talking?" He snapped.
Jameson walked away, leaving Lexi to find her own way back to the living room. She sighed, feeling a bit frustrated at the way Jameson had treated her. But she was determined not to let it get to her.

"What did you mean that we are sleeping here?" Jameson asked his mother, his voice laced with confusion and annoyance.
"It's late already, so just pass the night here," his mom said.
"What about school?" Jameson asked, his brow furrowed in concern.
"You can go to school tomorrow morning," his dad chimed in.
"We can't be wearing the same clothes to school," Jameson protested.
"You have a lot of clothes in your wardrobe, you can give her clothes to wear tomorrow," Mrs. Newton said. "Stop complaining and take her to your room."
Jameson's eyes widened in disbelief.
"Don't tell me we are sharing the same room?"
Mrs. Newton raised an eyebrow.
"Aren't you both married?" She asked.
Jameson's face turned red with frustration. "Mum..."
"Don't complain," Mrs. Newton snapped, her tone firm. "You two are married, and you need to start acting like it." With that, she turned and left the room, followed by her husband.
Jameson scoffed angrily and stormed upstairs, Lexi following close behind. He couldn't believe his parents were being so unreasonable. He didn't want to share a room with Lexi, especially not after their argument earlier.
.
.
.
They both entered his room, and Lexi was immediately struck by how beautiful and neat it was. The bed was made, and there were no clothes scattered around like in her own room.
"You will sleep on the couch, and I will take the bed," Jameson said, pointing to the couch in the corner of the room.
Lexi didn't complain and simply went to lie down on the couch. Jameson changed into his pajamas before climbing into bed.
As the night wore on, the temperature in the room dropped, and Lexi found herself shivering. She tried to ignore it, but eventually, she couldn't handle the cold anymore. She unconsciously stood up and walked towards the bed, climbing up the tall mattress and slipping under the blankets.
As she snuggled deeper into the blankets, a pair of arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her close. Lexi's eyes fluttered open, and she saw Jameson's face inches from hers. She Immediately close her eyes.
