(CRUSHED)

It was a lazy Sunday afternoon, and the mansion was eerily quiet. Lexi and Jameson had barely spoken to each other since their fight, and the tension between them was palpable. Lexi was still feeling a twinge of guilt for slapping Jameson, but she was also adamant that he had deserved it for looking down on her.

Just as it seemed like the silence was going to last forever, a loud voice boomed through the hallway, shattering the stillness.

"Is anyone here?" it echoed.

Jameson was the first to respond, his eyes lighting up with recognition.

"Mum, what are you doing here?" he asked, surprise etched on his face.

Mrs. Newton, Jameson's mother, swept into the room with a warm smile. "Why are you asking, dear? I can come here anytime I want," she said, her eyes twinkling with amusement.

Lexi emerged from the shadows, a hesitant smile on her face. Mrs. Newton engulfed her in a tight hug, and Jameson secretly rolled his eyes. His mother hadn't even greeted him yet, but she was already fawning over Lexi.

"Is something wrong with you both?" Mrs. Newton asked, her voice laced with concern. "You look like you've lost your last marble."

Lexi and Jameson exchanged a quick glance before smiling weakly. "No, we're okay," they chimed in unison.

Mrs. Newton eyed them skeptically, her gaze lingering on their faces.

"What are you up to, then?" she pressed on.

"Nothing, we decided to stay home."Lexi shrugged.

Jameson nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we didn't feel like doing anything."

Mrs. Newton clucked her tongue disapprovingly. "Nonsense, you need to get out more! You're young and should be having fun. How about I give you both some tickets to the cinema? You can go watch a movie and then grab some ice cream."

Lexi and Jameson exchanged a hesitant glance. They hadn't planned on doing anything, and the thought of spending the day together was daunting.

"But, Mum, we didn't even plan for this," Jameson groaned.

Mrs. Newton waved her hand dismissively. "You don't need to plan to have fun, dear. Just go and enjoy yourselves. I'll be here when you get back."

With that, she handed them the tickets and ushered them out the door. Lexi and Jameson reluctantly headed out, still feeling a bit awkward after their fight.

"Have fun" Mrs Newton waved as their car went out of the mansion.

.

.

.

Lexi and Jameson had been sitting in the car in silence for what felt like an eternity. The tension between them was palpable, and Lexi couldn't take it anymore.

"We can just go home if you want,She would have left already."she said finally, her voice barely above a whisper. "

Jameson turned to her.

"We can't just disrespect her like that," he said, his voice firm. "Do you know how much stress she must have gone through to get those tickets for us?"

Lexi shrugged, feeling a pang of guilt. "I just thought you might not want to go outside with me," she muttered under her breath.

Jameson heard her but didn't respond.

"Where did you want to go for now? The movie isn't until 8 pm tonight."he asked,

Lexi hesitated, unsure of what to say.

"Maybe a park?" she suggested, trying to sound casual.

Jameson raised an eyebrow.

"What are you, a kid?" he scoffed.

Lexi felt a sting from his words and looked away, trying to hide her disappointment.

"We can just go somewhere else then,"

she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Get down from the car,"Jameson's voice snapped her out of her thoughts.

Lexi's heart skipped a beat as she looked out the window and saw where they were. Her eyes widened in excitement as she realized they were at an amusement park! She couldn't believe it. She had always wanted to come here, but never had the chance.

Without hesitation, Lexi jumped out of the car and ran towards the entrance, Jameson following closely behind. As they walked through the gates, Lexi's eyes scanned the area, taking in all the colorful lights and sounds. She felt like a kid in a candy store, her excitement barely containable.

Lexi and Jameson stood in line, eagerly waiting for their turn to enter the cinema. They had a huge popcorn bucket between them, and Lexi couldn't help but smile as she thought about all the fun they'd had that day. After leaving the amusement park, they'd gone to a game house where they'd competed with each other, laughing and joking around. Despite Jameson's initial silence, he'd made her feel happy and carefree.

As they inched closer to the entrance, Lexi's excitement grew. She loved movies, and she couldn't wait to see what this romantic film had in store. Jameson, on the other hand, seemed a bit skeptical, but he was a good sport about it.

Once they entered the cinema, they made their way to the front row and settled in. Lexi was immediately swept up in the story on screen, watching as the characters fell in love and navigated their relationships. She couldn't help but wonder if she could ever have a relationship like that with Jameson.

As the movie progressed, Lexi found herself glancing over at Jameson, who was watching the screen intently. She noticed the way his eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled, and the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck. She felt a flutter in her chest, and quickly looked away, not wanting to get caught staring.

After the movie, they left the cinema and walked to a nearby ice cream parlor. Lexi was thrilled to see that they had her favorite flavor, and she dug in with gusto. Jameson chuckled at her enthusiasm, and they spent the next half hour licking their cones and chatting about the movie.

As the night wore on, they headed back to the mansion, Lexi feeling content and full. She leaned her head against the window, watching as the scenery passed by, and before she knew it, she was fast asleep.

Jameson looked over at her, her peaceful expression making his heart skip a beat. He debated waking her up, but change his mind and decided to carry her instead, He took her to her room and lay her on the before covering her with the duvet, he look around her room and realized this was the first time he will come to her room.

He stare at her face and chuckled when he remembered how happy she was when she was riding the rollercoaster, he gently walk out of her room to avoid waking her up.

Wayne threw his phone onto the bed, his hand moving through his hair roughly in frustration. He had been trying to reach Lexi all day, but she hadn't picked up any of his calls or responded to any of his texts. He had sent her hundreds of messages, but they had all been left unopened. He didn't know what to do, he just wished he could speak to her, but he couldn't..

Just as he was starting to drift off to sleep, his phone suddenly dinged. He quickly grabbed it, hoping against hope that it was a text from Lexi. But instead, it was a text from his brother.

"Mummy finally sent the wedding pictures," the text read. "She is so pretty, they look good together. I think you should check it out."

Wayne's heart sank as he saw the text. He didn't care about the wedding pictures right now, he just wanted to talk to Lexi. He threw his phone back onto the bed without even looking at the pictures.

As he lay there, he couldn't help but feel a sense of desperation.

With a sigh, Wayne got out of bed and began to pace back and forth across the room. He couldn't just sit around and do nothing, he had to try and reach Lexi somehow.

As he paced, he thought about all the things he could do to get her attention. He could send her more texts, or try calling her again. He could even show up at her doorstep and refuse to leave until she talked to him.

But as he thought about it, Wayne realized that those things might not be the best idea.

THE NEWTON MANSION

Janelle was already dressed and ready to go, her bag packed and waiting by the door. She had been planning this night for weeks, and she couldn't wait to get out of the house and have some fun. But as she opened her window to make her escape, a figure suddenly appeared in front of her, making her heart skip a beat.

She almost screamed, but her mouth was covered by a hand, and she was unable to make a sound.

"It's me, calm down, okay?" a cool voice said, and Janelle's eyes widened as she realized who it was.

Zayne was standing in front of her, a mischievous glint in his eye.

"What are you doing here this late?" Janelle asked in shock, trying to process what was happening.

"I'm here to tutor you, of course," Zayne said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "I know you don't want your parents to find out that you haven't been doing well in school, so it has to be a secret."

Janelle rolled her eyes, feeling a mix of emotions. She was annoyed that Zayne was here, but at the same time, she was relieved that she didn't have to sneak out of the house after all.

"Let's just get this over with," she said, trying to sound nonchalant.

But Zayne didn't seem to be in a hurry. He eyed her dress and raised an eyebrow.

"Wait, are you going somewhere?" he asked, his voice laced with amusement.

"Of course not," she said, trying to sound convincing.

But Zayne wasn't buying it. "Don't tell me you're still going to clubs," he said, his voice disapproving. "This isn't cool, Janelle. You can't be doing this."

Janelle scoffed, feeling a surge of anger.

"I can't, but you can?" she asked, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

Zayne sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

"Jane, we're different," he said calmly.

Janelle raised an eyebrow, her anger boiling over.

"Right, you're the popular, smart, rich kid who has many friends, while I'm nothing but a rich brat who is trying to fit into this world," she said, her voice bitter.

Zayne looked at her, his eyes filled with concern. "I didn't mean it that way, Janelle," he said. "I mean, I'm a man, I can defend myself."

Janelle snorted, feeling a mix of emotions. She was angry and sad, and she didn't know how to process her feelings.

"Let's just start the lesson," she said finally, trying to sound calm.

Zayne nodded and started teaching her, but Janelle could tell that he was distracted. She was feeling sad and angry, and she couldn't focus on the lesson.

After a while, Zayne covered the book and stood up.

"See, let's go to a club and have fun," he said suddenly, and Janelle's eyes lit up in excitement.

"Are you teasing me right now?" she asked, her voice filled with disbelief.

Zayne grinned and held out his hand. "No, I'm not. Let's have fun," he said, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

Janelle didn't hesitate. She took Zayne's hand, and they climbed out of the window and into the night, leaving her mansion and her worries behind.

A CLUB

As they entered the club, the loud music enveloped them, and Janelle couldn't help but smile to herself. This was exactly what she had wanted - a night out, away from the stress of school and her overbearing parent. Zayne led her through the crowded dance floor, expertly navigating through the sea of people. They made their way down a corridor and into a beautiful, spacious room reserved for VIPs.

The room was dimly lit, with soft music playing in the background. The atmosphere was sophisticated, a stark contrast to the chaos of the main club area. Zayne was greeted like a celebrity, with people calling out his name and clapping him on the back. Janelle stood awkwardly to the side, feeling out of place among the group of seniors who seemed to know Zayne so well.

One of them, a tall, muscular guy with a charming smile, caught her eye.

"Who is this beauty?" he asked, his eyes roaming over Janelle's body. All attention turned to her, and Janelle felt a flush rise to her cheeks.

"This is Janelle, a friend," Zayne replied.

The group welcomed her with open arms, and Janelle tried to relax, despite feeling like an outsider. One of the guys, a tall, lanky individual with a messy mop of hair, offered her a seat next to him.

"Come and sit," he said, patting the couch beside him.

Janelle sat down, trying to make small talk as they asked her about school and her interests. But she couldn't shake off the feeling that they were all sizing her up, trying to figure out what made her tick. And then there was the girl who had been glaring at her since they arrived, her eyes flashing with hostility.

The bartender arrived with a tray of drinks.

"She can't drink alcohol," he said, "I'll get something else for her." Zayne said.

As Zayne walked away, the guy who had offered her a seat touched her exposed shoulder.

"You seem tense, relax," he said, his voice low and soothing.

Janelle felt a jolt of fear at his touch, but before she could react, Zayne returned, his eyes flashing with a hint of possessiveness. He sat down between them.

"Let's play a game, it's getting boring," Presley said, her eyes fixed mainly on Zayne, her best friend. She was the one that was glaring at Janelle.

Presley was always the life of the party, and she knew just what to say to get everyone's attention.

"Suggest something then," another girl said, looking at Presley with interest.

"How about 'Never Have I Ever'?" Presley suggested, a mischievous glint in her eye. "It's a classic," she added, grinning.

"Sounds fun," the girl said, and the others nodded in agreement.

"Then you just have to drink alcohol anytime you have done something," Presley explained, as they filled glasses with alcohol for everyone. "It's simple," she said, winking at Zayne.

The game started, and the first statement was "Never have I ever drink alcohol." Everyone drank except Janelle.

"Never have I ever kiss?" Presley asked, and again, everyone drank except Janelle.

"Never have I ever date?" Presley asked, and once more, everyone drank except Janelle.

The game continued, with Presley asking more and more provocative questions. "Never have I ever have sex?" she asked, and everyone drank except Janelle.

The group stared at Janelle in shock, their eyes wide with surprise.

"Wow, you are really a saint, girl," a guy said while whistling. "I didn't know anyone like you existed," he added, grinning.

Zayne smiled to himself, pleased to know Janelle hasn't done all those things.

Gemma was waiting for Lexi in front of the swimming coach's office, tapping her foot impatiently on ground,it was closing time but the coach has requested to see her.

Finally, Lexi emerged from the office.

"Hey, Gemma, let's go," she said, barely acknowledging her friend's curious expression.

As they walked towards the parking lot, Gemma asked, "So, what did the coach want?"

"She wants me to compete with Victoria tomorrow." She said.

Gemma's eyes widened in surprise. "That's a tough one. But you can do it, Lexi. You're an amazing swimmer."

Lexi nodded, looking unsure. "I don't know, Gemma. I'm not sure I'm ready for this."

Gemma encouraged her, "Of course you should do it, Lexi. I'll be there to cheer you on. You'll win, I just know it."

Just then, someone grabbed Lexi's hand, pulling her back.

"We need to talk," Wayne said, his eyes intense.

"I'll just go then, see you tomorrow, Lexi."Gemma quickly excused herself.

As Gemma walked away, Wayne turned to Lexi, "Why didn't you pick my call?"

"Wayne, I really thought about what you said, and I'm sorry, but it can't work."Lexi sighed.

"Why? Is it because I rushed things? I shouldn't have, please think about it, don't jump to conclusions. I know you like me too." Wayne asked in a rush.

"Wayne, let's just remain friends."Lexi shook her head.

"No, I can't."Wayne insisted.

Just then, Jameson appeared out of nowhere and grabbed Lexi's arm.

"Follow me," he said, pulling her away from Wayne. But Wayne quickly grab her other arm.

"What right do you have to take her away when I'm still talking to her, you bastard?"Wayne asked his eyes flashing with anger.

Jameson didn't even flinch.

"You didn't tell him?" he asked Lexi.

Lexi look down guiltily,

"What is he talking about?" Wayne asked impatiently.

Lexi took a deep breath before answering, "Wayne, I... am married to him."

"What?"Wayne asked, his eyes widening in shock

"I am married, Jameson Newton is my husband."Lexi repeated.

Wayne's grip on her wrist loosened, and he staggered back, looking like he had been punched in the gut.
