Hagan waited in his seat for the Godly artifact to appear, a multitude of items were being bid on, some sold quick and cheap, other slow and expensively… very expensively.
There were swords imbueded with stones that would grant certain qualities such as resistance to affinities or extra power with affinities. Armor capable of passively repairing itself as long as the wearer killed. Staffs able to produce their own sorcery. Chimeras with terrifying combinations, exotic animals that were usually illegal to own, chimeras of exotic animals, and even slaves of many races, some had pointy ears, some small and muscular, some with animal ears and tails.
Raaz was sat beside Hagan and occasionally bid on certain items such as items to change his appearance, hide his face, make the memories of him blurry, and so on. He would bid on a few weapons that looked nice, one of which was a dagger with a black, lusterless blade, a black leather handle, a dull stone that radiated a slight silver light was embedded within it.
Hagan noticed that none of the items seemed to be Keepsakes. During this Trial, nobody seems to know The Speaker, what Keepsakes were, or really anything having to do with any of it.
Finally, the auctioneer rolled in a cart with a cloth over it.
"This could be either the most mystical or mundane item you've ever seen. It all depends on if you realize where it came from, who owned it, and how it was made. I present you with a Gods Artifact!"
As he said it, he removed the cloth and nearly everyone gasped, Hagan's eyes widened and he leaned forward.
'What… what is that!?'
What revealed itself seemed to be two gauntlets. They were a dark silver color and had white fur escaping the different layers as it went up the arm.
"This bid is starting at 500,000 gold! A Gods power isn't cheap you know!"
Immediately, many people placed bids and it quadrupled in price. Hagan looked over at Raaz and he nodded. Raaz stood up and looked around for a moment.
"20 million."
The crowd grew silent as the astonishing number was too high for most to contest.
"25." Another voice resounded from behind them.
Raaz looked back and laughed. Sitting down again, he said "30."
"35."
"50."
The other person began to speak but grew silent, the same as everyone else. Whispers broke the silence, most likely discussing who they thought the mysterious bidder was and his little companion in the terrifying mask.
"Well folks, that concludes todays bargain. We wish you all a safe trip home."
With that, Hagan followed Raaz as he walked around the stage to receive their items. Raaz went to collect the miscellaneous purchases he made and Hagan went to collect the gloves. He reached a hand out and instantly, the Voice of the Gods broke out.
"Congratulations, you've discovered a lost artifact."
The Speaker followed.
"You've received a new Keepsake."
Hagan focused as many words appeared in front of him. At the bottom, new ones appeared.
Shiva's Hands.
