Chapter 39 - Weilder of Time

"Promised, the God of Time feels indebted to you, for you have found their lost name, Shiva. You have received a blessing from the God of TIme, Shiva."

Suddenly, Hagan felt… strange. He couldn't describe it with words, but something definitely changed. He focused and summoned the runes, but nothing was different. He still had all his Keepsakes, Aspects, and none of the descriptions of anything changed.

But he expected that, it was no mundane change, and it had nothing to do with the Trials, it felt… he didn't know how it felt. Just different.

If anything, it felt like he was born again. Like he had a different body and mind but was still the same person. Since he couldn't discern anything, he decided to go back to his guantlets.

Hagan stared at the gauntlets and the talisman. He was going to try and play with time a little.

'This will be… unique to say the least.'

He focused and willed the Arcane he'd harvested to flow into the gauntlets first. What happened next was - for the lack of a better word - odd.

He watched as the various twists and turns of the engravings were filled with Arcane, he'd never heard of this happening before. Arcane was not supposed to be able to be seen outside of the body. It was visible when you inspected ones flow but it just looked like a wave of light coursing through ones body, not an ethereal and flowing substance. There was another thing Hagan noticed about it, it was dark and apaque, but still radiated a soft glow.

Once each groove was filled with Arcane, there was a shift in Havana perception, it was subtle but impossible to not notice. He looked around but didn't see anything inordianary, so he went back to lookin at Shiva's Hands. He moved his hands, inspecting them, and noticed something. The dust falling from the ceiling had stopped, the sounds of the bustling night city stopped, and the clamor downstairs had halted. And then it clicked.

[Shiva's Legacy] and [Beholder] had activated, his mind was moving different than his body, in fact his body wasn't moving, it was still in the same spot as when it was activated. He thought it was moving because he was able to see everything he wanted to, but it wasn't his real body, it was an immatation of it rather that'd moved. Then he noticed that the Arcane was still flowing, and it was being drained from him, alarmingly fast.

Hagan then noticed something else. There were strings all around. They weren't made of anything tangible however, they seemed to be Arcane. But not the same as Hagan's Arcane, they were a silvery white color, it was a stark contrast to his. Hagan willed his body to stand and walked over to the window, when he looked outside, his eyes widened.

Every single person he saw had an Arcane tether connected to their body. Some were slightly different colors, with a hint of blue, red, orange, yellow, purple, green… but none of the others were dark like his. Before he had any time to study why they were different, the Arcane flowing to the gauntlets stopped, Hagan stumbled as his conscience was forced back into his body. He suspected that in order to know the secret behind those tethers, he would need the rest of Shiva's lineage.
