Chapter 32 - Profane Deviant

"Hey kid! Stop talkin' to yourself and hand over that fancy armor ya got on!"

The Deviant glared at the three men in front of him through the darkness that permeated his helmet. An annoyed and hateful voice resounded from him as he took a step forward.

"I suggest you be in your way if you want to see the sunset once more."

The thugs looked at each other and started laughing. "Oh yeah? You really think you can kill us? Not only is it three on one, we're all bigger than you, kid. I siggest that listen and hand it over."

"I know I can kill some backwater hoodlums suck as yourself."

The men looked at each other and sighed. "Ah whatever. Just kill 'em."

Before the robbers could even unsheath their swords, one was already falling both left and right at the same time, split in half by the Deviant. The spectators recoiled in horror at the morbid scene and some quickly looked away. One of the thugs caught the right half of the robber and was in utter shock.

The talkative one turned around in time to see a sharp edge of a sword. It was stained red, slightly serrated, and eerily close to his eye. Before he could even blink, his left eye was gone and replaced by darkness. The third one, still frozen in fear, trembled as he tried to unsheath his blade. But he couldn't feel his hands, he looked down to see that his fingers he'd used all his life and his palm which would hold his wife hand, were… gone. He started to let out a scream but it was cut short as a pale blue blade passed through his neck.

The crowd was watching as dread filled their heart.

"One hundred thirty nine. Plus three."

"It's him! The Deviant!"

After that, many screamed and fled, acting as if they were his next target. Some fell down as their legs gave out, some threw up at the sight of it all, and some were unmoving, exasperated expressions frozen in their face.

"I told them I'd kill them. Nobody listens to me, do they, buddy?" Hagan said as he clicked his younger and began walking away.

A second blurry figure appeared and brought his hands over his mouth. "Wha- what did you do!?"

The first figure looked at the second one and smirked. "They tried to rob him and they paid the price."

"Yeah dude. What's the big deal?"

"WHATS THE BIG DEAL!!? You just killed three people! What do you think the big deal is!"

"Aw come on, it was clearly self defense."

Hagan shook his head dejectedly and kept on walking towards the inn. When he arrived, he smiled at the clerk and asked for some food to be brought to his room.

Once Hagan was in his room, he dismissed his armor and flopped on his bead, exhausted.

'I wonder what she will bring me to eat today.'

Half an hour later, there was a knock on his door and a young woman with brown hair, brown eyes, and a beautiful face opened the door.

"Hey, Deviant! I heard what happened back there, those guys were a real pain. Foods on the house tonight."

"I told you I don't like that name."

"Well you won't tell me your real name, and I'm definitely not calling you Promised."

Hagan sighed and shook his head. "Just give me my food please."
