After he regained his balance, Hagan stood up and began to walk toward the weak spot atop its head again. When he finally got there, he drove the Metal Rod into it's surprisingly soft flesh. He continued to drive it further and further down until it pierced the flesh of the dragon and a black liquid slowly rose from the wound.
Once again, Hagan fled from the beast in fear, knowing that staying any longer would mean death, he decided to jump off the side of its head. Wasting no time to flee from the monsters maw that was slowly turning in his direction, Hagan movie his malnourished and freezing body as fast as he could, drawing hoarse breaths as he ran.
He didn't get very far, maybe only twent or thirty meters away when he noticed stone pillars protruding from the desolate landscape. In the middle of them was a flat, black and lusterless stone slab raised slightly above the snow.
Hagan heard the wind behind him change, then, he was surrounded by darkness. He thought a that suddenly, many more clouds were concealing the dim sunlight but no, it wasn't clouds. He looked around and noticed that the shadow surrounding his was in the shape of a large, threatening, beastial hand. The dragon managed to rise to its feet and start toward Hagan, he hadn't noticed as he was too afraid to even perceive anything that wasn't is front of him. His only focus was running away.
'Oh no… Oh fu-'
A sharp, searing pain flooded his being, his left arm utterly destroyed, his left foot crushed, his back torn and bleeding profusely. He immediately felt fatigue agony invade his body. He tried crawling from the beast tyrannical claws but they ended up slamming into his right led with a thunderous crack of stone and bone being crushed alike. His right leg was severed but he already had so much adrenaline coursing his vains he barely noticed, the pain was nothing short of u bearable but he couldn't stop. Afraid to die, he continued to crawl, leaving an eerie red trail in his wake the contrasted the calm white blanket covering the world, another lightning strike boomed behind him as he continued to crawl. He noticed the shadow covering home once again and felt nothing but dread encompass his.
Suddenly, a thunderous clash resounded and he heard the dragon roar once again. But this time, this time it was different.
'Ha. Take that you terrifying beast'
The Metal Rod acted as a lightning rod atop the dragons head as it rose above the treeline. Attracting a lightning strike, it delivered millions of volt of electricity straight into the beast body, frying its brain which was directly below the rod. The lightning, moving faster than the ancient behemoth could ever hope to, surged through the body of the dragon, sending so much pain coursing through its already injured being.
Hagan was still crawling away from the beast as its beastial hand descended behind him, one talon landed where his right leg would have been if it wasn't left behind. He reached the stone slab raised slightly above the snow, he crawled atop it and stopped, feeling his life fading, Hagan turned over into his back and stared at the beast who was now laying motionless in the snow. Steam from the lightning strike rising from the dragons body was permeating the air.
"Congratulations …, you have slain a Tier 3 Flawless beast."
