The three were struck speechless when they heard what Wallace said.
"It's a lie" that was their next reaction as they looked at Wallace with disbelieving gaze. Wallace took out his phone and made a call. They wondered who it is that he is calling.
"Hello" a voice was heard on the other end of the line.
"I'm at Vicarious Vision Company" he said.
"Oh, I told them that I'm the director for the ascension but they don't believe me, I just want to you switch to video call so that you can confirm for me" he said.
"No problem" the voice on the other end of the line said.
After some seconds, Wallace handed them the phone. They received it with shaking hands, they already have an idea about who the person on the other end of the line could be but they dare not believe it as they thought it was prospeterous. Finally, when they saw the person their doubts has been confirmed.
"Mr. Joss Whendon" the said out aloud in disbelief. Who is Joss Whendon, the director of Justice league, one of the irreplaceable big shots in DC films and Warner Bros Entertainment company, They were still in disbelief.
"What he said is true" Joss confirmed.
"We believe sir" Sheldon Curt answered. "Pass him the phone" he said.
The phone was passed back to Wallace.
"Thanks" Wallace told him.
"No problem, there are some things we have to discuss after the film festival next week" he said.
"I forget to tell you this but I will have to trouble you to continue being in charge of the movie, I will be leaving for Italy on Tuesday and this journey will take close to a month because there are some things I need to do there" he told the latter.
"No problem, I've been doing it for two years" he said.
"Thanks very much" he said. They cut the call
. "Mr. Wallace, were sorry for not believing you earlier" Sheldon apologized.
"No problem" he said.
"Writing novel is just my hobby but I have a main job which is game development" He said. Their eyes shone as they looked at Wallace.
"I've already designed the game for the movie Ascension, it's a triple AAA game I spent close to thirty million dollars developing. The reason I'm here is because I need trustworthy partners and a medium that will be under my control and Joss told me that you people have quite the potential so I'm here to discuss partnership" he said. The three looked as they nodded vigorously.
"But partnership can be discussed only if you have the potential I'm seeking. I want to develop the first game company that develop Warcraft in New York and I want to push it to the top of the companies all around the world. Ordinary individuals can't accomplish them" He said.
"We're ready to do what it takes to prove to you that we can carry that burden. You don't know but were the top of our professions back at the university. Companies want to control us because we did not attend a prestigious university due to money so we decided to start our own studio.
"I'm developing a programming language but the mission was nipped in the bud because of insufficient funds. Williams Curt as the art designer also is developing characters that are very human like. He created characters that behave just like human with my help. He's developed two characters that has clear path of evolution while Elizabeth is our core. We care from the same family and we decided to stick together so there's also no issue about betrayal" he said.
"Everything is just talk, I need evidence. I heard you've developed a game. Let me see it, from there I will know if collaboration can be discussed" Wallace said.
"No problem" they made their way to the computer.
"This game is called Era of dawn. It's one of the many ideas we had in our secondary school and we just picked this one to develop on" Sheldon explained as Elizabeth turned the computer on.
"It has taken most of our funds but sadly weve just developed five percent of the game" He said.
"You can play it and tell us how it is" Sheldon said. Wallace sat on the chair and put the earphones on his ear.
"Let me test it" He said as he started the game. Wallace said he wanted to test the game but he played it for two hours straight. If not because that's where it stopped, he would have continued. He pit down the earphone as his eyes shone.
"Great, if you have funds, how confident are you that you can develop this game" He asked.
"A hundred percent" Sheldon answered.
"We already have the storyline of not only era of dawn, we have nine more" He said.
"We already divided them into the first phase to be launched and how many phases of launching they will go through" he said.
"Can I see the storyline for the era of the dawn" he asked.
"Hmm" They hesitated.
"Sorry I forgot the procedure because I was excited" He answered.
"We can talk about partnership but it should be based on some conditions" He said.
"Here comes the hardest part" they thought.
"The company that will be started will only have me as the main shareholder. I will have sixty percent of the share. Later when you also start to develop, the forty percent will be purchased by you guys. I value freedom a lot, I hate sitting with businessmen with big stomach that values profit over anything else telling us to change out ideas and as for funds I'm capable. I will give a hundred million dollars as the startup fees and an apartment at the plaza residence for you three to have an environment where you can develop. You will all be given chance to develop to your maximum potential" he said. The three could not believe their ears when they heard that.
"The second condition is that no matter what happens you guys will be the only core of the team that has access to the core information so you guys can't disband at least not for the next ten years" he said. They nodded in acknowledgement. They were not planning to disband.
"The third and last condition is that Ascension will be the first game to be launched, all of you will focus your attention on ascension first and after that you will develop the era of dawn if the storyline is superb and we will discuss others in the future" He answered.
"No problem" they nodded excitedly.
"Ok then, my lawyer will soon arrive with the contract" He said as he typed. The lawyer he is using is of course Joss's lawyer.
"Thank you very much sir, you might not know but developing games is our passion. The three of us focused all our attention on game development to the extent that we don't even have the time for other things, not even dating" they thanked him.
"No problem, there are other things to come in the future and that's if your passion do not wane" He said.
"Hmm" they nodded vigorously.
"He still has three chances to initiate people so it looks like he know the three people he will use it on but he just can't start yet.
"Hope nothing will affect your interest like family and the likes" He asked.
"Nope, the three of us were casted out from our families because of the path we chose so we don't have any family to talk off again" Sheldon said.
"No problem, before the lawyer comes, you can take a look at my game and to continue with my game, you not only have to play it from the beginning, you also have to learn my language" He said as he placed his laptop in front of them.
"I developed my language specifically for game creation so you have to learn it" He said. They looked at the laptop and saw series of complicated programming. Sheldon's eyes shone as he saw it.
"You're a genius to be able to develop a language" he said. Only he knows how difficult it is, Talent, effort, money and luck are factors all needed. Why is it that no one has been able to develop language?. "Please where is the game" he asked. He opened the game. Sheldon started playing while they looked at it with shining eyes. The characters are designed to be close to human as possible but compared to Williams character that has clear path for advancement, Wallace character design are just so-so but they saw the storyline has been designed according to ascension. What's ascension, a movie that has broken world record and one of the most sought movies all around the world. The game will definitely be a hit. Sheldon and the others ended up losing themselves in it and played for three whole hours, they did not even know when another person appeared in the room.
