Agent Wander did not take long to ask around and came back soon with the required information.
"The Casting Director had already selected the main character. And for the 'Soma' character they had already conducted an audition. But the director and the writer were not satisfied with the selected person so they are arranging for an open audition."
"That great!!" Maevie exclaimed in excitement.
Usually, to audition for an important role, one had to be invited or get the invitation. And with Maevie's invisible reputation in the industry, it would be hard to get that the invitation. So. Open audition was the best possible arrangement she could hope for.
"When is the audition?"
"It's not yet confirmed. I'll get to you when it does."
"Right!"
Abel looked at the excited figure and had to urge to burst her bubble.
"He said that there would be an audition. Not that you are selected."
Too bad… His targeted bubble was made of metal.
"Audition is only the beginning. Imma get the role… And do a get job in playing the role too."
"Phufff!!" Abel almost spit out his drink.
"Do you think you're superhuman shit? Getting super power after a near death incident? Why don't you try being a writer instead? Your delusions might be a support there."
"Why do I need to get super powers to pass the audition? Why can't it be that I just hid my talent before?"
Maevie knew how much truth there was to what Abel had just mindlessly spurt out. But she played along with him.
"Hehh!!" The brother sneered. "The possibility of you hiding your talent is the same as the possibility of me waking up as a woman. Zero."
"What if I got selected?"
"I'll kiss a guy."
That how much confident Abel was that Maevie will not be selected in the audition.
"Better look of a handsome guy from now on. Cause you're gonna kiss one."
"As if…"
Maevie used to hate these little arguments she had with Abel back then. But now, she felt that this was just how she could get along with the guy. At least it was not the awkward conversation she had with Llyod. That was terrible and edgy.
"Now, if you're done disturbing me. Let me get back to my work." The actress accused the third young master.
"When did I ever disturb you?" Argued back the annoyed Abel.
"Then what do you think you are doing here."
"I'm…."
"You're…." Maevie raised her eyebrows.
"I'm sitting in the living room of my own house. How is that disturbing you?"
"When you chew you food and sip your already empty drink loudly as though you're afraid someone would not hear it from the gate."
"Hey!! It's not that loud."
"I beg to differ."
"I was just having a little snack. Is it a crime to eat in the living room now?"
"No. But you can also eat it your own room."
"You…" Abel stood up and pointed his finger at her. "I don't even what to argue with you anymore."
"Well, I never did"
The housekeeper watched as the third young master made a "Huh" sound and stormed away from the living room to his own room with a smile.
"Mom said she had changed. I don't see say change. She's as annoying as ever." Abel grumbled as he had lost the argument.
.
.
.
After the little short bickering, Maevie felt a little freshened up. Specially since she won the argument.
'Wise man said. It's the littlest thing that gave the most joy.'
Wander shook his head as he witnesses the satisfied little puppy look on Maevie's face.
"Shall we get to the scripts now?" He questioned.
"Oh! Absolutely."
"Leaving 'Red Flames,' do you have any things to say about the other two."
"No."
"You're okay with the roles."
"Yeah."
"Then I'll get in contact with the director and inform you about the updates later."
"That fine."
After the discussion the scripts had been done, the two went ahead and brought up the variety show.
"I have two options for you. One is a game survival show."
Wander handed her the file containing the description of the show and the contract sent by the production team.
Maevie had little interest in the show. She felt that it was not different from other variety shows.
"What about the other?"
"The other is a little different." Wander was reluctant to give the other file to the actress. "But the production seems to be really interested in inviting you."
He said before he handing the file to the girl. Maevie looked at the name on the file.
"One day Date? You want me go to a dating show?"
Maevie was shocked.
"No! No… Its not a dating show." The agent denied.
'Oh really?' Maevie's eyes were saying. She showed the agent the cover of the file and pointed at bold 'ONE DAY DATE.'
"Just read the file. It's really not a dating show…"
"…"
"At least not like the ones you are thinking about." Wander corrected himself.
Maevie took what her agent said and decided to look into the contents first. Then she found out that it really was not a dating show. Not like the one she thought of, as Wander put.
As the name of the show spelled out. There will be a date involved. But the twist was that the show would invite a few famous people along with pair them up. The pairs then go on a date for a single day.
"Interesting." Maevie commented.
"It's a fairly new show. If not the planner being my classmate, I'd not put any trust on it." Agent Wander added.
"So, you're playing underhand games now." Maevie teased.
"What underhand games? Its just helping a friend of mine. Besides. The first two episodes released that was release this weekend had already received many attentions. If nothing goes wrong, this show would be a hit."
"So why do you want me to go to this show?" Maevie asked.
"Is it just to help your friend? If its that inviting me might do a greater harm than help actually."
