The wind howled outside the apartment as Scarlett stared at her laptop screen. Beside her, Nathan looked over the documents Caroline had provided, his face tight with focus. Their usually vibrant discussions had dimmed to silence; tension of silence is between them.
"It's all here," Nathan muttered, breaking the quiet. "The forged accounts, the fake transactions. Alex isn't just stealing—he's setting up a financial ruin for the company. Especially for the West family."
Scarlett glanced at him, her fingers pressing continually on the keyboard. "And Grayson will jump in to save the day, thereby taking control in the process what a devious move." She said.
Nathan nodded, his lips pressed into a thin line. "It's something they have done before… look at this." Scarlett said pointing to the laptop screen.
"They have done it to other families, other companies, and industries. But this time, they're targeting us, your family particularly."
