Scarlett and Nathan stepped outside. It was dark. The noise of the crowd inside echoed faintly, but it couldn't drown out the fear in both of them as they were very cautious of what may come their way that night.
Scarlett pulled scarf from her neck and wrapped it tightly around her waist, she is very careful as they walked toward the waiting car. Nathan stayed close, his jaw clenched and his eyes scanning their surroundings for any signs of rising danger.
As they reached the car, Nathan opened the door for her, his voice soft but firm.
"We're not safe yet." He said looking everywhere.
Scarlett looked up at him, her brow furrowing.
"You think Grayson has more cards to play?" she asked with concern on her face.
Nathan nodded a little, sliding into the driver's seat as she sits beside him.
"Men like him always do. Exposing him publicly was just the first step. Now we have to deal with the fallout."
