Alex's hold tightened on Scarlett's arm as he expression that of anger, impatience evident on his face.
"You've crossed your boundary, Scarlett. Whatever you think you're going to do with those files, you won't get far with it." he said coldly, his voice echoing in the office.
Scarlett looked deep into his eyes.
"You're wrong. These files are enough to expose everything—you, Grayson, all of it. People will finally see who you are." She said boldly as she struggled to break free from his grip.
Alex chuckled; his face looked threatening.
"You think you're some kind of savior? You're just a pawn, like everyone else."
Scarlett's eyes spotted the open window behind him, calculating the distance to the ground. Her mind raced as she thought for options, her pulse quickening as Alex reached for the pile of documents held in her hand.
"You're not walking out of here with those," he said, his tone filled with anger.
