Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: Whispers of the Abyss.

[Panel 1]

The scene opens with a wide view of Bluestar, the world split in two by a jagged and glowing rift that marks the Edge—a border between Aquamarine and Alferia. The air crackles with a faint, ominous energy. From above, the camera pans down to show the crumbling remnants of old cities, ruins from an ancient war, now long forgotten.

Narrator (text box):

"Bluestar—a world that teeters on the brink of disaster. The tension between the two supercontinents, Aquamarine and Alferia, is ever-present. And at the center of it all lies the Edge—where the boundaries between worlds are thinnest."

[Panel 2]

The focus shifts to Kang Joon (MC), walking through a crowded town square in a worn and dusty Aquamarine settlement. He's just another face among the sea of travelers, merchants, and soldiers.

Kang Joon (thought bubble):

"Another day, another job. This town isn't much, but it'll do. Maybe I'll find a way to earn enough to send some money home."

He walks past an open-air tavern where loud voices and laughter echo. A large half-dragon mercenary slams his mug down on the table, his eyes flashing with excitement.

Half-Dragon Mercenary (shouting):

"Have you heard? The Edge is stirring again! Word is, there's something dangerous coming from the abyss. People are calling it an omen. I wouldn't want to be near that place when it all goes down!"

Kang Joon (thought bubble):

"Always something... but the Edge? Never thought I'd be involved in it."

[Panel 3]

The guild hall bustles with noise as Kang Joon sits quietly in a corner, a worn satchel by his side. His rough porter's uniform, patched and faded, marks him as different from the armored adventurers. A large, gruff D-rank party leader approaches, glaring down at him.

Party Leader:

"Oi, Kang Joon! Stop loafing around. You're coming with us. We've got a mission to the Edge."

Kang Joon (thought bubble):

"The Edge? That doesn't sound like the usual errands. What kind of madness are they dragging me into now?"

[Panel 4]

The D-rank adventurers crowd around the guild counter. A guild official hands the leader a sealed scroll, marked with a faint red stamp. The porter lingers behind, clutching his gear nervously.

Guild Official:

"Your mission is sanctioned by the United Adventurers Alliance. You'll investigate an E rank dungeon at the edge. It's dangerous territory, even for experienced adventurers."

Party Leader:

"Tch. Sounds like a headache. We'll get it done… but don't expect miracles from a D-rank party."

[Panel 5]

Kang Joon hesitates to speak but finds himself nervously approaching the guild counter after overhearing the conversation.

Kang Joon (hesitantly):

"Uh… is it really safe for us to go there? I mean… I'm just a porter…"

(Reaction panel: Adventurers laugh, "Stick to carrying our stuff, kid.")

The guild worker turns to him, raising an eyebrow at the sight of a mere porter asking questions. The adventurers nearby chuckle, amused by Kang Joon's audacity.

Guild Worker:

"Why dangerous? Kid, you're heading into the heart of that unknown. Let me tell you something that might make you think twice about tagging along."

[Panel 6]

The guild worker leans forward, his voice dropping to a serious tone. The adventurers fall silent, sensing the weight of the conversation.

Guild Worker: (Breaking the 4th wall)

"You see, from time immemorial people think that Earth was flat but they were wrong. Explorers would set sail, journey west, and end up back where they started, proving that Earth is round. Case closed, right? Wrong."

(Cut to adventurers rolling their eyes, and Kang Joon nervously leaning forward to listen.)

Let me inform you man it may be correct for your Earth But not mine. It's not your Earth, buddy. This one's Earth0512 (Bluestar) — different rules, different nightmares. (4th wall fully broken)

[Panel 7]

Flashback scene. An eccentric scientist stands on a ship's deck, pointing at a horizon that seems to curve unnaturally. He's determined, with a journal in hand and a defiant look on his face.

Guild Worker (In a loud voice):

People thought Earth0512—our Bluestar was round, except for one man.

One mad man—a mad scientist—refused to believe it. Called the Round Earth theory a sham. So what does he do? He sets sail to prove the world is flat and ends up at the Edge… and beyond. He stumbled upon a land unlike anything he'd ever seen—Alferia.

(Reaction panel: Kang Joon's eyes widen. A nearby adventurer scoffs, "Sounds like nonsense to me.")

[Panel 8]

The scientist steps onto the shores of Alferia, his face filled with awe as he gazes at towering beasts and magical creatures.

Guild Worker (In an interesting voice):

"When he came back, he talked about a magical land called Alferia, filled with intelligent races. He said the Edge was a teleportation array connecting the world's boundaries, but no one believed him."

Guild Worker (grinning darkly):

"Then the fool set himself on fire, thinking his immunity would prove his point. Didn't end well for him."

[Panel 9]

Kang Joon (wispering) :

Why set himself on fire.

Guild Worker (In a deep voice explaining):

"He claimed to have crossed the Edge, found a new continent, and returned with strange powers. He said the world wasn't round, but flat, separated by a teleportation array at its boundaries which teleports people from the eastern edge to its western edge and vice versa creating a fake illusion of round world.

People thought he was crazy, especially when he claimed he'd gained immunity to fire and water from some ancient shrine."

Guild Worker (mocking) :

That fool thought that his shitty D rank legacy magic can work in a land devoid of any mana. At least he needed to be a B rank mage to do so.

[Panel 10]

The scientist stands in front of a burning pyre, attempting to prove his immunity by stepping into the flames. The crowd gasps in horror as he is consumed by fire, his theories dying with him.

Guild Worker (Voiceover):

"They laughed at him—until he burned alive trying to prove his powers. His story was forgotten… until humanity launched its first artifical satellite."

[Panel 11]

The scene shifts to a satellite image of Bluestar, showing A flat, two-sided plane connected by a glowing boundary—a rift crackling with unnatural energy. Its just 2 cubes breaking apart joined together by the glue.

Guild Worker (speaking interestingly):

"The satellite revealed the truth: Bluestar wasn't round. It was flat—an endless plane sliced in two by the glowing rift of the Edge. A boundary shimmering with unnatural energy, hiding Alferia from Aquamarine. A boundary… and a warning." It was the perfect illusion, hiding Alferia from Aquamarine."

[Panel 12]

The camera returns to Kang Joon, his face pale as he processes the story. The guild worker leans back, a grim expression on his face.

Guild Worker:

"Curiosity is a dangerous thing". When humanity discovered Bluestar's true nature, they couldn't leave the Edge alone. They poked, prodded, and finally used an EMP to break the teleportation array. They wanted Alferia's secrets—but the abyss wanted them more.

And as the array across the western part was disrupted the eastern array became solid like a wall which is impossible to break hence creating only one edge.

Kang Joon (thought bubble) :

If even half of that story is true, this mission just got a lot riskier.

[Panel 13]

The party leader grabs Kang Joon by the shoulder, dragging him toward the exit.

Party Leader:

That's enough fairy tales. Keep up, porter, or we'll leave you at the Edge.. But here's a tip—fluctuating dungeons aren't for the faint-hearted. If you see the mana change, you better pray.

Kang Joon (thought bubble) :

"Fluctuating dungeon? That sounds way above my pay grade..."

"The Edge… Is this just another mission, or am I about to be caught in something far bigger than I imagined?"

[Panel 14]

The party steps out of the guild, and in the distance, the Edge glows faintly against the horizon—a jagged scar across the land, crackling with unnatural energy. Kang Joon shudders, gripping his satchel tightly.

Narrator (text box):

"To the Edge, where worlds blur, and uncovering the truth could cost everything"

END OF CHAPTER 2.

TL/Note (from the author) :

There may be some readers who think the mention of Earth0512 is related to some crazy multiverse comic like stuff but trust me it isn't.
