Panel 1:
A sweeping view of a misty, ancient shrine — its stone walls etched with symbols long forgotten by most. The narration begins.
Narration Box:
Beneath the shifting tides of time, remnants of the past remain—fragments of once-glorious beings whose powers now lie dormant in the world of Bluestar. These relics of divinity are known as Legacy Shrines. They are the vestiges of fallen deities, where their lingering divine power concentrate, waiting for a worthy soul to inherit them as Legacies. But even more elusive are the Artifacts accompanying these legacies, objects that were once considered trash by the people of Bluestar. First thought invaluable later became trinkets when their use can't be found.
Panel 2:
A close-up shot of an ancient artifact, glowing faintly in the dim light of a cavern. In the background, a faint image of a Minotaur researcher hunched over an artifact, studying it intently.
Narration Box:
"For years, artifacts were dismissed by adventurers as worthless objects. But a Minotaur researcher driven by an unyielding curiosity, discovered their true nature. He discovered that these artifacts were not just relics, but remnants of the will of fallen deities— an untapped power capable of resisting the Abyss."
Panel 3:
Bustling marketplace. A goblin merchant, with stacks of artifacts on display, shout about their wares. In the background, an excited group of adventurers huddles around the Minotaur researcher, who is eagerly explaining his discovery.
Narration Box:
"This discovery would change the course of history. With the Minotaur's knowledge, Goblin merchants saw an opportunity. With their innate love for profit, goblins seized this opportunity. They bought and gathered artifacts for trinkets, selling them to the United Adventurer's Alliance gaining immense wealth."
Panel 4:
A Goblin merchant, grinning widely, counts a massive pile of gold coins. The Minotaur scientist stands beside him, holding up an artifact glowing with divine energy.
Narration Box:
Being scammed and exploited for so long for their simple mindedness, minotaurs were creatures regarded as muscle heads. They lacked the tanking abilities of Orcs or the magic and agility of Elves. But witnessing the opressive technological power of humans in the war of the two continents, minotaurs realised their way of advancement. It was in the field of scientific research. Abandoning the development of muscles they started developing their brains now standing toe to toe with humans in scientific research after 60 long years.
Narration Box:
Recognizing their potential, goblins funded their research. "From this partnership, the Goblin Merchant Association was born—one of the wealthiest and most influential organizations in both supercontinents. The alliance between Minotaur intellect and Goblin trade reshaped Bluestar's economy."
Panel 5:
The scene shifts to a cavern deep beneath the surface, where a vast, dark expanse of energy churns—the Abyss. Shadowy figures loom ominously in the distance. The narration continues.
Narration Box:
"As the Abyss continued to grow, the need for protection became urgent. The artifacts, infused with the will of fallen gods, were used to suppress the Abyss's influence—pushing back the ever-present threat.
But there is a saying "If you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you."
As the mouth of the abyss was sealed with numerous artifacts, the abyss strike back. The abyssal impulse started to gather beneath the surface creating temporary pathways when it erupts. The greater the Abyssal Impulse, the deeper it connects to the Abyss.
Panel 6:
A bustling tavern. Kang Joon is sitting at the bar, overhearing two adventurers talking about the dangers of fluctuating dungeons. One is an orc tank, the other a human swordsman.
Orc Tank:
" Two days ago, three C-rank adventurers were wiped out in a fluctuating dungeon at the Edge... didn't stand a chance."
Swordsman:
"Fluctuating dungeons. Tch, its a death sentence for anyone under B-rank. You never know when the dungeon's rank will shift. One moment, it's a low-level dungeon, and the next—a hellscape."
Panel 7:
Kang Joon, looking confused, mumbles to himself.
Kang Joon:
"Fluctuating dungeons? What's that...?"
Panel 8:
Minsoo (Party Leader) , a figure of mystery, overhears Kang Joon's mumbling. He leans in, offering an explanation.
Minsoo (calmly):
"Fluctuating dungeons. Better not to tempt fate kidoo."
At the edge where the crevice (mouth) of the abyss is located there generates surge of abyss impulses. The Abyss's power fluctuates, causing dungeons to shift in rank unexpectedly. One moment, a C-rank dungeon could be a relatively safe exploration, and the next, it could become a deadly A-rank battlezone. It's why dungeons at the Edge are so dangerous."
Panel 9:
The group is seen walking along a path as Minsoo continues to explain. A quiet tension in the air.
Minsoo :
"The Edge is a dangerous place because of the Abyss's instability. The deeper you go, the more unpredictable things become. Some adventurers get too cocky, and the dungeon's rank shifts sending them to heaven. That's why one has to be cautious at the edge."
Panel 10:
The conversation fades into the background as the narrative focuses on Kang Joon, whose mind is racing with questions about the fluctuating dungeons and what lies ahead.
Narration Box:
"The Edge. The fluctuating dungeons. The Abyss. All beyond Kang Joon's understanding. But one thing was clear: the world around him was far more dangerous than he'd ever imagined."
