Panel 1 :
The alpha dire wolf lies wounded, its body pulsating with veins releasing crimson mist. The cavern grows eerily silent.
Narration Box :
"An uninvited force of chaos erupted, shaking the delicate balance of this dungeon."
Panel 2 :
A group of Abyss demons emerges, insect-like creatures with elongated heads and sinewy blackish-purple bodies. Their sharp claws glisten under the faint light, their size somewhat bigger than an average human. Their facial appearance resembling xenomorph itself, as if coming out from the famous Alien series.
Narration Box :
Demons, driven solely by a thirst for slaughter, spared no one who crossed their path.
Panel 3 :
The demons descend upon the wolf, shredding it with savage precision. The wolf's agonized cries echo through the chamber as its body is reduced to shreds.
Minsoo (horrified) :
"Shit... It's a fluctuation! RUN!"
Panel 4 :
The group flees, panic etched on their faces. Kang Joon tosses his supply bag aside, running after Ray and Amy.
Kang Joon (thinking) :
"I can't keep up... but I can't stop now. Not with those things behind Us."
Amy (Panicked) :
What are those things? They're not like any corrupted creatures I've seen before!
Ray (murmuring) :
Those... Those are A-rank demons. I've heard they've slaughtered entire teams of adventurers.
Panel 5 :
Minsoo stops abruptly, his face grim. The demons swarm closer as he glances at his companions fleeing.
Minsoo (grimly) :
"If someone doesn't stop them, none of us will make out alive."
Panel 6 :
Minsoo launches a massive fireball, creating a momentary explosion that draws the demons' attention and starts running in another direction. A smile etched on his face, sweat dripping.
Minsoo (shouting):
"GO! Run! Don't worry! I'll catch up!"
Panel 7 :
Ray and Amy continue running, with Kang Joon struggling to follow. Amy hesitates, looking back, concern visible on her face. Watching the demons follow Minsoo, Ray's panic increased.
Amy (worried):
"He can't hold them off forever.
Ray (panicked):
"Forget him! We need to survive!"
Panel 8 :
Ray glances at Kang Joon, who lags behind, panting heavily. Ray's eyes narrow.
Ray (muttering):
"We need more time to escape." Losing him is better than all of us dying.
Amy:
"But... he's our teammate! We can't just abandon him like this!"
Ray (snapping):
"Teammate? He's just a burden! Do you want to die because of him?"
Panel 9 :
Amy slows down, guilt and fear warring within her as she speaks.
Amy:
"But Minsoo is risking his life for us! When he returns, he'll hold us accountable for Kang Joon's death!"
Ray (angrily):
"Stop arguing! They aren't even your countrymen! Why should we risk our lives for an outsider?" He's just a porter not a comrade. Minsoo will think the same.
Panel 10 :
Suddenly Minsoo's loud painful cry echoes through the cavern, distant yet clear. The sound freezes the group momentarily, and Kang Joon stumbles to a halt. Amy's face hardens as she grips her staff tightly.
Amy (whispering):
I'm.... I'm sorry... I don't want to do this, but I don't want to die either.
Panel 11 :
Amy casts a debuff spell on Kang Joon, causing him to stumble and fall. His confused gaze locks onto hers as she turns and follows Ray deeper into the dungeon.
Kang Joon:
"Amy..?"
Panel 12 :
Ray kicks Kang Joon's chest making him fall some distance away.
Ray:
Consider it an honor, porter. Your death buys our lives.
Panel 13 :
Ray and Amy runs away leaving an injured and fatigued Kang Joon. His strength depleted due to the debuff. The demons, now done with Minsoo, turn their attention toward Kang Joon. He scrambles to his feet, his breath ragged as he searches for an escape.
Narration Box:
"Survival demands more than strength or loyalty-it demands sacrifice."
Panel 14 :
Kang Joon spots a narrow crevice in the dungeon wall and squeezes inside just as the demons reach him.
Panel 15 :
The camera pans out, showing the demons swarming the crevice, their claws gouging deeper into the rock as Kang Joon cowers inside, trembling.
Kang Joon (thinking):
"This.. This isn't how it ends."
Narration Box:
"The Abyss devoured all hope, leaving only despair in its wake."
Panel 16 :
The final panel shows a close-up of Kang Joon's face, a mixture of fear and anger. His mind flashes with memories of his sister, her laughter echoing in his mind fuelling his resolve.
Kang Joon (thinking):
If I die, what happens to Seoyeon (his little sister)? I can't leave her alone. No, "I won't die here... not like this."
