I blinked several times.
"You have the Princess's things," Lux paused, "But it can't be true!"
He paced the length of the room several times whilst I watched speechless.
"Say something," He demanded, "Were you ever planning to tell me? Did you steal this stuff? Is that face even yours?" The last sentence made him drop the frown. He just looked sad.
I sat down on the bed and patted the spot beside me. I tried to ignore how he put distance between us.
"I'm sorry Lux," I whispered.
"Sorry, for which part," He demanded, his voice had gotten loud enough I was afraid someone would come running.
"I'll explain, just please, lower your voice," I begged, "Otherwise I might never get to explain."
"Skip the majority of it, just tell me how a emerald Licnine tricks the Others?" He demanded, "They're all looking for a striped Licnine and you're telling me they are wrong?"
"No," I said quietly, I looked down at my hands, "They aren't."
