Uon seeing how easily Nethaniel got rid of the creature, Sion's eyes widened a bit but he did not comment on it, he just looked closely at the damage that he had caused and that too without trying too hard, meaning he did it at a low output of energy, which showed how far ahead he was than most of them that were there and Sion's eyes narrowed.
After they finished clearing out the monsters that had attacked them, they exchanged glances and Sion released Lilian, who thanked him, but did not leave his side, she stayed put, for she knew that if she got separated from the group, her death in such a place would be inevitable.
"Nethaniel, we need to choose one of the two doors to go through before more of the beastly creatures attack us, if this happens again, we will be separated," Ash said as he approached Nethaniel and he nodded knowing that they were right.
Nethaniel glanced at Sion and he remembered his abilities from earlier and the way he seemed to have sensed the beasts, and his eyes narrowed as he approached him.
Sion looked at him and raised his brows, wondering what he was up to this time, but he did not say anything and waited for him to speak.
"You are stronger than you look and there is more to you than what is written in the reports, more to you than the test mentioned, well, we will get to the bottom of that later for now, choose a door, it doesn't matter which one because either way, the longer we all stay here, the more death's door open," He said and Sion brows furrowed then he sighed and nodded.
The others exchanged glances as Sion stepped forward, they were not expecting Nethaniel to do that, given his low truth in people.
Sion took a deep breath as he looked at the doors before him and he closed his eyes as he focused on his surroundings.
[Spatial awareness activated.]
Sion closed off his ability, blocking the others out completely and focusing on just the two doors ahead of them, when he felt a jolt of electricity coming from the right one and his eyes narrowed, then he opened them and his eyes glowed slightly purple as he pointed to the door, he felt the energy coming from.
The others looked at the door he was pointing at, including Nethaniel, whose brows furrowed, then he looked back at Sion, wondering why he chose that door, which seemed more closed off than the other.
"Why did you choose that door?" He asked.
"Because there is a strange energy coming from it and I want to go that way," He responded in a firm tone as he met Nethaniel's gaze.
"Fine, that way we go," He said as he opened the door and walked in and the others all followed behind him and Sion, not daring to say another word, since they had no better option.
As they walked the path, Sion noticed the same green slime and his brows furrowed as he saw a few footprints on the ground, one which looked that that of a creature of some sort, he had a hunch that the creature who had killed the people that entered the dungeon before them, was somewhere nearby lurking and had not spotted them as yet, which was most likely due to the continuous shifting of the dungeon.
They kept on walking, while being very careful not to make any sorts of noise and a few minutes later, they came to another opening and upon entering.
They saw they were in an open area, one filled with sand and water, with many different parts, one main part looking as though they were actually in the dessert, with the scorching sun above their head and the others recoiled at it.
"What the hell..." Vicana muttered as he looked around at the many different creatures, flying by, some eating dead flesh and Lilian covered her mouth and she looked away due to feeling nauseous at the very sight.
It was another deadly area, one in which others prey on one another for survival, though it was nothing new, for in the real world, many similar things happened, one uses the weak to their advantage, and the strong dominate, it was the same that was going on in the dungeon.
"Based on this I can say, there was this thing that was said, this dungeon may not have that many floors, but despite being limited to that, it can get even more dangerous or equally dangerous as one with many floors, guys be careful, we are not leaving this area unscathed, I can sense it, there is something here with us," Nethaniel said and the others were on their guard immediately.
They found a quiet area, where they rested or a bit and had a few drinks and snack, while being on watch, since they needed their energy.
However, while doing so, they heard a screeching sound, one that made them flinched and a bitter waste was left in their mouth.
They looked around and saw some of the other creatures hiding, while some that were flying fell down to the ground, their body shaking and Sion's eyes narrowed.
"What was that?" Lilian asked as she gripped her staff tightly by her side.
"Whatever it was it is not a friend," Nethaniel said as his blade appeared in his hand.
Just then, they felt the ground rumble slightly beneath their feet and the sand began heating up, they felt as if the atmosphere there had begun getting much hotter than it was when they had first entered, and they exchanged glances wondering what sort of creature was able to cause that sort of reaction.
Just then, a big tiger-like beast with sharp claws and fangs, black and orange in colour, with flames around its long tail and claws appeared from behind the large rocks within the desert area.
"That is a desert flame rampant," Sano said as the others drew their weapons and the beast growled at them.
[Beast taming activated.]
[Glitch reassess.]
[Skill one hundred percent fixed.]
Sion's eyes glowed red and purple as he stared at the creature, in both fear and fascination.
