While everyone was distracted, the beast lunged towards them and Sion's eyes narrowed as he looked at it, when he heard what the system commands were and his brows raised in slight surprise, but he did not ask any question as yet, for there was not time for that.
Sion looked around the area, to see if he could use anything to stop the others from possibly killing it and he spotted a few weapons, old and new, within the sand.
He grabbed one of the spears from the ground, which was left behind from the previous adventurers that entered the dungeon before them, but did not survive just as the others were about to attack the beast.
He rushed forth and jumped up throwing the spear directly in front of the beast and the spear lit up and high walls of orange flames, burning hot, surrounded the beast and it stopped in its tracks, for certain flames it was not immune to and as Sion landed back on his feet his eyes narrowed, with his gaze fixed on the beast.
The others exchanged glances, wondering why he did that and she stepped forth as they looked at him.
"What is he doing?" Vicana asked and Sano who was beside him at the time shrugged, for none of them had any idea as to what he was thinking, all they could do was stay put and watch him, hoping he would not get attacked.
"Shouldn't you stop him?" Lilian asked Nethaniel, who was keeping a close eye on the beast and he glanced at her then back at Sion and his brows furrowed, as he wondered what he was up to and was curious to see.
"No, let him do what he wants and do not get involved, Lilian," e responded and she nodded then reluctantly stepped back, as they continued to watch him.
He approached the beast, who was trying to find a way out of the ring of flames and when it noticed Sion approaching, it began growling and its tail swayed behind it aggressively.
Sion could tell that it wanted to attack him, but was holding back because it was unsure of what it should do, since for the first time in its entire life, it was trapped with no way out, it was the prey while another the predator.
The beast kept its gaze fixed on Sion, wondering what he was doing as he saw Sion approaching him, with a determined look in his eyes and the beast stepped back a bit as Sion's eyes began glowing blue mixed with gold and orange and the flames parted as he entered the ring with the beast.
Everyone's eyes widened as they stared at him, wondering what he was doing when the creature could kill him much easier, with his current proximity and they exchanged glances with each other, hoping that whatever he was planning works and does not go south, for if that happened then even, they might not be able to help him.
"Sion, you will get yourself killed in there, what are you doing?" Vicana asked as he was about to step forward and Nethaniel brought forth his arm, stopping him in his tracks.
"He knows what he is doing, he may be a newbie, but... There is potential, do not get in between," Nehtaniel said in a firm tone, begrudgingly accepting and admitting that Sion had potential and there was more to him than meets the eyes.
The others looked at Nethaniel and stayed right in their spots, not daring to try and intervene, even though they only had good intentions, they did not want anything to happen to Sion.
Sion looked at the beast before him, as it was stepping back and his eyes narrowed as he stopped moving forward and the creature who was keeping an eye on his movements, stopped moving back as well.
It was confused as to what Sion was doing, it could not read his movements which made it even more frustrated than he was before and the creature looked up at him, directly in his eyes.
Sion's eyes glowed brighter and the creature's eyes widened as it saw the look in his eyes, one of that of a predator, one of that which could devour and the beast shrunk back under his gaze, which was so intense that it sent a shiver of fear through a naturally dominant beast.
The others who were watching carefully, saw this and their eyes widened when they saw the fear in the beast's eyes, wondering what Sion was doing to it, for they knew based on the nature of the creature, it feared nothing and no one.
"Stay put," Sion said in a tone that was not that of a plea, it was that of a command, and an aura formed behind Sion, one which was mixed with blue, orange and slightly purple, similar to his eye colour at the time and two pairs of golden eyes formed within that aura.
The creature took many steps back in fear and the others watched in nothing but pure shock, they were utterly bewildered by the sight before them, wondering how he was even doing that, but none of them said anything, they just stood there.
The beast looked at Sion, not knowing what to do, but it felt cornered, something that only its usual prey would feel, for the first time it was in their position.
[Skill: Refelect Activated.]
One of Sion's abilities, within the scope of his beast-taming skills, allowed him to reflect the fear typically experienced the prey—which predators usually corner—back toward the specific predator itself.
He reached forward his right hand and the creature closed its eyes believing that he was going to kill him. This scenario would usually happen to preys but, Sion placed his hand on top of its forehead and the creature's eyes widened, in shock as did the others, who were watching carefully, they were confused and stunned at the same time, for they did not know how he was able to even do any of that, but none of them even moved a muscle.
