Chapter 31 - "You found me at last."

As they were nearing the glass door that led to the final door within the dungeon, they could all feel the strong and almost potent energy coming from behind it and they exchanged glances, wondering what could possibly be behind such a door.

Sion stood before the door and he placed his palm against the glass as his eyes glowed as the energy from within his body, formed around his right arm, releasing a certain amount of energy against the glass of the door, which slightly cracked.

I startled the others a bit, but before anyone could say anything, Nethaniel raised his right hand up, stopping them in their tracks, for he could see that Sion knew what he was doing and he did not want anyone to interrupt.

He knew very well, one wrong move and it could end all of their possibilities of seeing the next light of day again and he was not about to let anyone cross that line of no going back.

Just then, Aina who was asleep on the side of his neck, the creature, whose true form he did not know that was clinging to him for dear life, woke up and she glanced at him then at the glass and her eyes narrowed.

"I have a bad feeling about this, though the energy behind the door is somewhat familiar to me, place both of your hands, it is a runic seal, you are doing well on your own, so far," She said and he glanced at her, knowing no one else could not see her and he sighed then placed both of his hands against the glass.

The runic marks on the glass activated one by one as they glowed, while his energy stretched across the glass and she kept her gaze fixed on him, as did the others, who could not see her nor sense her presence.

They all looked on curiously as well as cautiously as they watched the marks on the glass glow, wondering what was behind the door, if it was the boss or something else entirely.

Soon after, the glass shattered before their eyes crumbling to the floor and some of them gasped, wondering how that happened as they looked at the glowing shards of it on the floor and Nethaniel's eyes narrowed, yet he did not say anything, just waited to see what Sion would do next, for he was curious.

He glanced at Aina, who nodded at him to just wait for a moment and he listened to her, knowing she knew more about certain things than he did at the time, yet he was learning.

"Sion, should we be worried here?" Ash asked.

"No, just give it a few," She responded and he nodded, as they waited, hoping that whatever was going to happen next, would happen in the next few minutes before the next shift within the dungeon, which was coming soon.

They all knew that if the dungeon shifted before then, it would become a lot more difficult for them to get to the final floor, in order to get out of the dungeon.

He exhaled deeply as the shards glowed brighter and within the door way, a nunch of glowing purple chains appeared, that began shifting, creating a pathway and they exchnaged glances as Sion took the first step and went inside.

Nethaniel followed behind him as did the others, finally moving from the floor they were on and to the final one, which they had no idea of what could possibly be waiting for them on the other side of it.

As they walked the pathway, they saw many runic markings, each with their own glow as well as other carvings within the walls, but none of them dared to touch any of them, not knowing what they could trigger, they chose not to take such a chance.

As they walked, that was not the only thing they noticed, there were golden powder like materials on the side of the floor and Sion's eyes narrowed as he looked at it.

"That's.... Gold," Vicana said and they exchanged glances, wondering which part of the dungeon it came from and if all of the treasures, were indeed in the final floor.

"They must be on this final floor?" Lilian asked and Sano looked at Sion.

"If it is somewhere within the final floor, it will only be natural and would explain many things as well, especially the pasts bout the final boss and possibly the energy that has been coming from it, it is a guardian, to something," Sion responded, as he remembered the woman's voice he heard from earlier, wondering if it had anything to do with her.

'Was it just my imagination or does she have something to do with all of this? Something feels off about this part of the dungeon, everything coming together, it does not make sense, a creature like that to guard just treasure, it either has to be something more than just precious or powerful,' He thought as his eyes narrowed.

"Is something wrong?" Lilian asked as she looked at him and he glanced at her, as they kept on walking.

"No, I am just thinking that maybe there is more to this situation than we first thought, it may not be as pleasant," He responded and her brows furrowed as she followed beside him and Aina glanced at him.

She crawled off of his body and trailed ahead of him and his eyes narrowed, as he wondered what the little thing was up to, but he made no attempt to stop her, he was curious as to how much more, she may know of the dungeon.

Sion followed her along with the path and the others stayed close behind him, as the dungon began shifting once more and they came to an opening.

Parts of the room were broken apart, making it look almost like part of a castle. It had many things of royalty, broken pillars, and a gold and white chamber with a seal on it.

However as they ventured deeper into the final floor, they heard the clinking of shackles and stopped in their tracks, their eyes widened in shock at the sight before them.

Before the chamber, they saw a woman suspended in the air, shackles encircling her, bounding her limbs.

"You found me, at last," She said, looking up at Sion with piercing gold eyes, and his eyes widened.
