Sion looked around the dungeon area where they had just arrived and his eyes narrowed, as he looked at the carvings on the door and on the rocks nearby it, something about it fascinated him, it seemed to be in an ancient rune form, but if one looked closer, it was something slightly different.
[The language that is carved into those rocks there, is that of an ancient language, the same ones that are used on magical runes, each has its own special ability and the fact that it is on these pieces from this dungeon, shows that the dungeon is mixed, from different times.]
Upon hearing the explanation from his system, he carefully passed his fingers on the letters and his eyes narrowed as he wondered what it all meant, to men in their language, what would they find if they had it translated.
The others looked at her curiously as he looked around the broken parts of the dungeon in front of them and Lilian approached him and tapped him on the shoulder, wondering what he was doing.
"What are you doing, Sion?" She asked and Sion glanced at her then smiled a bit.
"I am just taking a look at the carvings here, it is all interesting in my opinion just as it is mysterious, don't you think, Lilian?" He asked and Lilian smiled as she looked at them.
"Yeah, I can see why you find them captivating, but we can look around later, come on, our leader wants to brief us before he takes us inside of the dungeon, he just wants to make sure we get everything clear," Lilian responded and Sion nodded, he knew that was a necessary step before they go inside, especially since some of them never ventured into a dungeon before.
He went with Lilian and joined the others as they gathered around Nethenial, whose eyes were glowing slightly purple and upon seeing that Sion's eyes narrowed, wondering why his eyes were glowing like that, but he refrained from asking, since he did not want to make it seem as though he was prying into his personal business, he was already not on good terms with him and did not want to make it much worse, since that was something he could not afford at the time.
"Good, now that you are all here, I hope you will follow the rules and everything we discussed with Mei before coming here, can I expect that much from you guys?" He asked as he looked at them with a scrutinizing gaze.
They all nodded and he sighed in relief before glancing at Sion, who had a small smile on his face and he gave him a small nod, glad that he was paying attention as well as listening to him, for things were about to get a lot more complicated for all of them, the minute they decide to enter the dungeon.
As they were discussing things among themselves, while checking their bags to see if they had the necessary survival needs, another group arrived at the dungeon, followed by another and they looked up from what they were doing and exchanged glances.
The other groups were surprised to see that others were already at the dungeon since many of them were having a hard time finding the dungeon, then most of them had gotten caught up in the forest, cornered by many other magical beasts that resided within it.
"Well, well looks like someone beat us to it first," A male said as he stepped forward from one of the groups, they looked at him and Sion's brows furrowed, he could sense the mischief coming from him.
"Not our fault some people do not know coordinates well," Ash retorted and the others held back a laugh and the guy's brows twitched in irritation and he forced a smile.
"It is not our fault the coordinates were so crappy," He said.
"Yet we got here perfectly fine and just in time, despite the time we left and the encounter we had earlier, so, are you sure it is the location or just you because right now I am quite confused about a lot of things?" Sano replied with a smirk and Lilian and Sion chuckled quietly behind them and the leader stood in their way.
"So am I because I for one know, there are certain people who come with very, very small brains," Vicana said as he was smoking a cigar and the guy's brows twitched in annoyance at their sassiness and comebacks.
Sion held back a laugh since he knew very well that the situation at hand could turn into a fight and that was not a good idea, given where they were.
"You find his funny do you?" The guy asked, turning his attention to Sion, who blinked as he looked at him and his eyes narrowed.
"I did not say anything now I suggest you stop throwing a tantrum like a child that lost its pup and prepare for what's ahead of you unless you do not find your life very precious," He said blunt and firm.
The others got quiet as they stared at him in surprise including the guy, who stuttered to find a response and he lowered his gaze like a tamed puppy and Sion huffed.
Sion turned and saw them all staring at him and he tilted his head and raised his brows, wondering what they were looking at, when he realized what he had just done and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly and Vicana chuckled.
That was the first time they had heard something other than blunt answers from him and a facial expression other than stoic and aloof.
"Well, well, looks like our newbie here has a sharp tongue," Vicana said.
"Sure does, guess the saying never judge a book by its cover stands for this one," Sano snickered and Nethaniel scoffed as Lilian patted Sion's shoulder with a grin.
"Alright enough bickering," Nehtaniel said and they nodded as the entrance door to the dungeon, began rumbling slightly.
Everyone turned their attentions to it as the runic marks carved into the stone, began glowing and the door flung open with a loud rumble as a few other groups arrived.
"It's time, let's go," Nethaniel said as they grabbed their things and entered the dark entrance of the dungeon, followed by the other groups.
