Angela's Point of View
"What do you mean by that? She can't go to work like this!" I pointed out to him sharply.
"And she needs a new skirt! Can't you see the one she is wearing is torn and unacceptable?" I questioned him as his nonchalant attitude was starting to irk me.
"I am fine!" I heard from Georgia as I turned to look at her sharply, she shook her head weakly upon seeing my face.
"What do you mean by that? When did you become a weak coward?" I asked her as her face became flushed with embarrassment.
"I will be fine!" She insisted, ignoring my question but from her trembling hands, I knew she was not fine! She was still in shock and even if the car hadn't hit her, she still needed to be checked.
"She said she is fine, I don't understand why you will push this further! She wasn't hit by the car and neither were you! But I honestly wish the car had hit you in the mouth! If you don't have anything sensible to say then I am off!" He said gutturally.
"I can't believe you!" I uttered as Georgia touched me to stop me.
"It's okay, Miss! I think it is a good idea that she is checked throughout!" Ian glanced at me as he uttered with a thoughtful expression.
"I can take her with me to the hospital after we get her a new skirt and it won't be appropriate of her to wear a torn skirt about!" He announced diplomatically.
Devin swept his hand through his hair as he sighed impatiently, clearly irritated by what his friend had just said.
"Fine, do what makes you happy but I am off! This meeting is very important!" He snared before wearing a frown.
"You might grow wrinkles around your face faster than the usual at this rate!" I quipped at him before facing Georgia.
"Let's head to my car which is behind this!" Ian pointed out as we guided Georgia to the car and settled her inside. I was grateful that Ian was willing to help, unlike his friend.
I don't know why but Georgia was acting strange and I would love her to be thoroughly checked.
As I turned back, I saw the silver-haired guy about to take his leave, I couldn't help but feel a surge of frustration.
"Next time watch where you are going!" I spat at him with a glare.
"I will remember that!" He declared before shooting me a scrawl then smoothly disappeared into his car which zoomed off immediately. I stood glaring and seething with anger as I watched the car drive out of my sight.
"Miss, don't be offended by my friend's attitude, he is just in a bad mood!" Ian pleased on his behalf which I didn't buy.
"He should have kept that mood at home before walking out!" I lashed out before turning to face Ian with a smile.
"He is sorry! Please let's go get the skirt for your friend!" He suggested gently. Taking a deep breath I nodded curtly, pushing my irritation for the silver-haired guy before walking towards Georgia.
"There is a nearby store where we can get you a skirt," I explained to her as she smiled.
"I with be going with your friend to get the skirt, you got in this trouble because of the driver's reckless skill and I apologize concerning my friend, he isn't always like that!" Ian explained to Georgia as he smiled reassuringly at her. I scoffed at that last statement as that doesn't seem to be true but what do I know?
"It is okay and thanks very much!" Georgia greeted with a slight head bow.
We made our way to a store that was just a stone's throw from where the car was. Ian looked around the place and seemed slightly displeased with how the place looked like. I was familiar with this store as we could not afford a high-end boutique.
We could get every design, trending or not, right in this amazing store.
"This place will do!" I explained to him as he tried to hide his displeasure with the place. I entered without waiting for a response and went straight to a skirt Georgia had always wanted to buy.
This was her lucky day!
"This skirt is perfect!" I called out to him, pulling out the black leather short shirt.
"Are you sure it would be okay?" He asked calmly.
"Yeah, sure! Of course!" I replied with a dry chuckle. Let's just pay and get out!
"Okay, if you say so!" He acquiesced before walking to the counter and giving his card to the sales lady behind the counter as I appeared beside him and passed the skirt to her.
"Angela !" She greeted me in a rather high-pitched voice that I understood and knew the intention.
"Here is your package and thanks for shopping with us!" She said before winking at me.
"Would you like to see what I picked for you?" I whispered into Georgia's ear as we got into the car. I was seated beside her as Ian sat beside his driver at the front, on our way to the hospital.
"What have you done?" She questioned, eyeing me with an understanding smile plastered on her face.
"I was just using one stone to kill two birds," I whispered back at her.
"Just your whispering has confirmed what I am thinking!" She uttered, trying to hold her laughter.
Something clicked in my head as I had been trying to put the piece together and it finally did.
"Oh my goodness! That scallywag!" I loudly uttered startling everyone.
"Is everything okay?" Ian asked, turning to look at me.
"Are you okay, what is it?" Georgia asked, simultaneously with Ian.
