"Well, that's what I said," Adrian replied, sipping his drink nonchalantly.
"What are you doing then? Let's get him to use it!" Evelyn exclaimed, grabbing Adrian's arm in excitement. In her haste, his drink spilled onto his clothes.
"Oops, sorry about that," Evelyn said with a sheepish smile. "But I think it could be useful." She quickly took the empty mug from his hand and, without waiting for a reply, tugged him out of the tavern.
"We need to get your brother from the horse stable," she added, dragging him along.
After a few minutes of walking, the sharp smell of horse manure and feed filled their noses. They finally spotted Lionel standing beside a sleek black horse, his dark outfit blending perfectly with the animal's glossy coat. Akit, clad in a gray robe embroidered with gold that screamed wealth, was nearby, adjusting the horse's bridle.
