"Who is that man again, and what's his name?" Lionel asked as he stared at Adrian.
Adrian shrugged and stood up from his seat. "A hypocrite I thought had turned better."
"Huh?" Lionel muttered. "Why do you say so?"
"I thought he'd changed, but then I remembered how my dad used to talk about him with annoyance. It clicked when he told me to sit back and joked by calling me a pussy…" Adrian said.
"He didn't even call you a pussy," Lionel replied.
"He did. What does he mean by, 'I'll make sure you don't get harassed'? As if I can't handle myself or I'm the center of attention…" Adrian said.
"He might've just been looking out for you," Lionel suggested.
"No, that man is devious," Adrian said, then looked at Lionel. "Why are you even defending him? Bootlicking him, huh?"
"None of that," Lionel said. "I'm just asking because he proposed a deal, and I said I'd think about it."
