Chapter 13 - Blue-blooded knight

The sixteen warriors had widely scattered across the hummocks upon their unwanted arrival. At the center of the horde, were four heavily armored warriors. One was a young knight wearing burnished silver armor wielding a pristine long golden hilted sword. It was more like a curved claymore but just an inch shorter. Everything about him screamed wealth in capital letters. He was most likely highborn since gold was often associated with nobility.

Another was wielding a heavy war hammer, fitting because he was short and stocky as the clobbering hammer head.

A scrawny and skinny woman was among them, also wielding a fitting weapon, it was a needle-like sword., slender than any sword Kodesh had ever seen.

Another warrior with shaggy hair, a scruffy and patchy beard was wielding a long and razor sharp spiked mace. The weapon was also resembling him in a way. The spikes were not of the same length and size, more like his patchy beard and hair. But what mostly resembled him in the mace was it's sharp stiletto points. The man had sharp eyes and intuition. He was more or less a human version of the heavy mace of steel and tungsten.

Next to the four man, stood a more intimidating man. He was a bare foot giant of a man, a head taller than the tallest man Kodesh had ever laid his sunny eyes upon. And he had six fingers in both hands six in both feet. His leather armor of grizzly bear hide reeked of bad smell. It surely had seen it's days. He resembled the bear since he was a giant and probably never had a shower in his life. His six fingered hands were as big as Kodesh's head.

In the six fingered hand, was a long spear, suffocating under that clutch of those colossal hands. In his cold eyes, hints of dark resentment glinted ominously. It wasn't revenge glinting in those cold, dead eyes, it was simply pure evil of blood lust glinting in them and people like him don't need a reason to kill. His six fingered hands were stained with innocent blood and that fueled Kodesh's anger even more.

'He is going to be the first one I kill.' He thought as his eyes wandered among the sixteen men.

There was an awkward silence for a while, and eventually Kodesh broke the ice.

The men glared at him like he was retarded.

Who wouldn't?

He had killed two men just be caught trying to push an ancient boulder.

He sighed slowly.

"It's not what it looks like."

"I promise you, I am not crazy."

"Then what are you boy?" Six fingers bawled hoarsely.

"I'm just looking for the strongest man to ever live." Kodesh responded warmly, immediately reassuring the men that he was indeed crazy.

The three armored men and scrawny woman were still silent but their eyes were menacingly piercing through him. Everyone else was cautiously waiting for an order from the knight in shiny armor of burnished silver.

"Strongest?" Six fingers sneered.

"You're looking at the strongest man to ever live boy." He added with eyes growing more dark and dangerous as he was sauntering forward.

He had underestimated Kodesh so much that he didn't wait for orders.

"Oh no, not to rub you the wrong way but you're not even remotely close." Kodesh prattled.

"You have bulky muscles and one too many fingers but they don't make you strong."

"Instead they give you unguided confidence to walk right into harm's way."

Kodesh could see hints of fury fueling through the giant's cold eyes so he threw a torch to erupt his unchecked emotions."

"The six fingers don't make you special, they make you abnormal and weird, you freak."

"You might have six fingers but you don't have the sixth sense."

Immediately as the words reached six fingers's elephantine ears, he blasted forward like a charging bull, crushing grains of soil to dust with his bare foot. He was colossal and yet swift. More than Kodesh had anticipated.

In the next moment , Kodesh's focus shifted towards the knight. He knew for sure that he felt something but his lynx-eyed vision couldn't pick anything out of the ordinary. He felt the blue-blooded knight's aura duplicating into two indistinct auras but he couldn't discern what was happening.

Frozen and trying to glean what the knight was up to, Kodesh found himself right in the way of a tempestuous and raging bull. He didn't want to be at the receiving end of those humongous hands but his eyes were still locked onto the highborn knight.

Using his sentience alone, Kodesh moved back his right leg and with a full swing of his entire body he unleashed a powerful shot towards the giant's lower chest. He could have aimed for his head but it was way out of reach. The six fingered man was a giant of giants.

His upper body movement was in perfect coordination with his lower body. His knees and ankle fluidly moved forward while his weighty hand was swinging towards the giant.

In the next moment, the giant's fast momentum dissolved into Kodesh's right arm and punctured a hole inside his rib cage. Bones perforated his lungs while his internal organs turned to paste at the wake of the weighty right hand. The poor giant never knew what hit him.

The jaws of the horde of warriors dropped, their eyes widening in disbelief as if a sudden jolt of electricity had coursed through their veins leaving them momentarily stunned.

"You see? You have just walked into harm's way." Kodesh muttered under his breath. He had avenged the countless people the bear giant had slain.

Pulling his blood soaked hands out the corpse of the giant, Kodesh shoved it aside and a small tremor shuddered the hummocks as the corpse gracelessly fell to the ground. The gruesome sight of the giant's corpse sprawled on the ground stole the air, leaving them breathless.

In the next moment, the knight gave the command and they all descended on Kodesh like a swarm of bees.

At the fore front were three armored warriors, in the middle were leather armored warriors and at the rear was the noble knight, his watchful eyes carefully observing Kodesh.

As Kodesh was trying his best to fend off relentless attacks, the noble born knight appeared just a spitting distance away and immediately vanished but his aura did not. In the next moment he appeared behind Kodesh and as Kodesh's focus shifted, a golden hilted sword scraped off his chest, tearing apart his cloak as blood sprayed in the air.

"Crap."
