Atlas seeks Leon out a few days later, arranging a private meeting. Leon, still feeling the lingering effects of their bond, is eager to see him despite his confusion. They meet in the Montclair estate's private library, a room filled with the smell of leather and old paper.
"Leon," Atlas begins, pacing slightly as he speaks. "There's something you need to know—about my powers and who I really am." He takes a deep breath. "My mother was a princess of the Fleur Empire. The ability I possess is a symbol of the royal family. Anyone with it is considered the true heir to the throne."
Leon listens, his heart sinking as Atlas continues. "My mother fled the empire to escape the life that awaited her. She met my father, and they decided to raise me here, far away from the empire's reach. But ever since I was a child, I've been aware of the consequences of my power being revealed."
Leon's breath catches. "So, if anyone finds out…"
Atlas nods. "I'd be drawn into a political struggle I have no desire to be part of. That's why I've kept my abilities secret—and why I can't allow our bond to be made public, even if it means hiding this… connection."
