DRAKE'S VIEW
I saw on her screen that the Colonel was calling her. She tried hard to conceal it from me, but my sight was unlike any other human. I noticed her hands trembling as she gripped the phone tight. "Aren't you going to answer that?" I questioned her.
"No, it's not important. I will let it go to voicemail," she laughed nervously.
She sensed that I was suspicious. She turned away and cut the call.
"Who was it?" I inquired.
"I don't know, probably the wrong number," she lied.
"Oh, I don't think so," I growled. She was startled as I grabbed her phone from her hands. Her eyes widened with fear. "It's not what you think, Drake."
She quickly defended herself. "Well! Well! What do we have here?" I remarked as I fell on the Colonel's name on the screen. "And you lied to me that you weren't in contact with him," I drawled. "It is the truth. I haven't had any contact with him for over a month."
