ANNA'S VIEW
"How was lunch with Louise?" inquired Drake in a rather chirpy mood. "It was interesting," I responded as I took off my coat and entered the living room. "How so?" he questioned. "Did you not bury the hatchet as intended?" he inquired.
"Maybe I did," I shrugged as I came and collapsed next to him. "Why do you look like you're emotionally drained about something?"
I sighed before replying. "It is because I am," I answered as I took the glass of water he handed to me.
"So I take it; it was rather intense," he added. "It was more than intense. It left me with more questions than answers. I know I promised you that I would dig up dirt from Louise about the Colonel, but unfortunately I couldn't get around to it," I explained. I sipped some water before continuing. I was rather surprised that he didn't look disappointed about it. "Louise said something that startled me," I revealed.
"What did she say? If you want to talk about it?"
