"Yes, it is them," he acknowledged. "So what? This is a public place," he snorted. He brushed it off as he gazed at the drink menu. He had a sombre attitude when it came to his nemesis wife, which I found rather odd. He had no idea as to what I was going to do next. It was a bold move that could be the next step into winning Drake over.
I caught their attention and called them over. I prayed that my actions would surprise Drake. "Why did you do that?" Drake hissed under his breath as they made their way to our table. "I wanted to extend a friendly gesture, that's all," I replied. He wasn't very happy that I did that, but I had to do something. I placed a fake smile on my face and offered Louise a seat, which she gracefully declined, as did her friend.
