ANNA'S VIEW
"Drake," I stammered. My eyes filled with terror caught his furious gaze. I was in deep trouble. My heart beat rapidly, and my hands perspired. "I am sorry, I wanted a comb, but I saw." I tried to explain but ended up stumbling on my words.
"You mean, you saw some gems and decided to dig for more," he cut in, with his fiery glare still locked on me. "It doesn't look like it should. I wasn't going to steal anything, I promise. I was just curious," I defended.
"Did anyone tell you curiosity killed the cat?!" He yelled.
"I am sorry; I promise, I won't do it again. I was just intrigued by the stuff, that's all," I sobbed. I had to convince him that I had no intention of taking his mother's jewellery, or else I was done for. "What exactly were you looking for?" He interrogated me. "Nothing, I swear. I was studying the pieces in the silk bag," I explained. "The silk bag in the jewel box?"
