DRAKE'S VIEW
I heard screaming from the café where Anna was. Did something happen? I stopped what I was doing and ran toward the café. I saw everyone rushing out in panic. There could be a stampede there. I calmed everyone down and let them out in an orderly fashion. There would have been chaos if I hadn't done that. I had to see if Anna was all right. My worst fears came out to bite me. Did Drenmore attack the café? I couldn't put anything past him.
What went on? Why was there shattered glass everywhere? Something didn't add up? I shouldn't have left Anna with that snake. He was a sneaky snitch. I walked inside brusquely only to find Anna with a crossbow in her hand. Her face was pale, and her expression looked as if she had seen a ghost. "Anna!" I called out. I waved my hands across her face. Her eyes were enlarged, and her face was like a statue. Colonel James was out of sight.
