"I can gain XP by doing this too? Interesting, so I can gain XP from just washing myself? What about other cleaning jobs?"
Of course she'll start with doing everything possible first then doing tasks for the clan. Lin Susu sat down at her desk and started planning further after she put on some proper clothing. She is, after all, still a teenager.
As she wrote down and made plans for her XP farming, time ticked by as slowly and unhurriedly as a mountain, and the door finally creaked open.
"Susu?"
Lin Susu, alerted by a familiar and gentle voice, dropped her pen and flipped over the paper and looked at the boy who appeared in front of her, then closed the door behind her with a polite smile and her delicate eyebrows furrowed. She got up and hugged the boy.
"Third brother!" She said, somewhat happily as she looked up at the boy. He smiled happily back at her while a soft laugh emerged from his throat, before reaching to pick her up and spinning her around.
"Hey, not again." The girl pouted.
"How can I resist the temptation of my adorable younger sister?" The older male asked, chuckling as he released her.
"Brother, why have you come back so early today? Why not go and play or train instead?" Lin Susu asked as she gave a soft and happy smile.
"It's fine, Susu," Lin Fan reassured her with a soothing voice. "Although my cultivation has regressed, I can just redo them once more, so there's no big deal."
"But I heard you can no longer cultivate. It's been like this for a month now." Lin Susu said.
"It's fine. Besides, being with my darling sister is much more fun than training!" He smiled brightly.
The young girl smiled softly at her older brother, knowing that her brothers can't stand seeing her sad. Even when hell is covering the sky, they will still sacrifice themselves and run towards her.
"Hmm, brother, when did you wear a ring?" Lin Susu asked, her eyes widened slightly. "It looks exquisite. Although it doesn't seem to have anything fancy with it, it fits the person holding it!"
Lin Fan looked a little taken aback and paused before smiling awkwardly and said, "Nothing, it's some ring I found at a stall."
Lin Susu nodded, and a glimmer of light flashed through her eye.
"Ahem," Lin Fan said after coughing a little, before changing the subject as he felt a sense of danger, as he knew of his sister's nature and understood that if the subject wasn't changed, he'll have a fate similar to those at war.
"What are you doing with the paper? Reading novels? My sister sure likes the cultivational books, ha-ha," Lin Fan said jokingly, as his sister was extremely sensitive towards cultivational novels and once flung a book at his head.
Hearing his voice, Lin Susu looked up, giving a rare innocent look.
"Oh? No... It's nothing important. Though the paper has your name on the front and the face on the back."
The corner of Lin Fan's mouth twitched a couple of times.
"You can have it," the little devil continued with a sweet tone. "Although it has your face on the back, how can it compare to the real one?"
At the word, the male felt a chill in the air.
"If you say that sort of thing I might lose my life from embarrassment." He said with a nervous laugh, as the expression in her eye looked even more scary and devilish than those of old monks.
He slowly backed up and left the room, feeling a cold sweat sliding down his back. After finally regaining his cool, he glanced down at his finger and asked, "Ye Ling, Is there any way for my sister to practice?"
The silver ring around his finger reacted and the image of a young girl appeared in the air, wearing a set of loose fitting but fashionable clothes. With her purple hair draping down the sides, the figure was gorgeous and extraordinary, and looked as though she came from a foreign land. A voice that matched her delicate beauty and seemed like an illusion sounded within the hall, "No. The mortal bloodline cannot mobilize Qi in their bodies. Her body won't react even if I were to inject my spiritual Qi into her body. You must remember that in this world, bloodline means everything. You personally have a top-grade bloodline Fire Phoenix which is great for the sub-profession Alchemy."
Hearing her words, Lin Fan frowned but didn't say anything, before he turned around and went down the hall.
…
Back in the bedroom, Lin Susu put the paper on the side with a grin. At a glance, it looked like she was happily enjoying the presence of her brother, but in fact her eyes had a glimmer of an unfeeling light. Her intuition told her that something was going on with her brother and the ring.
"It seems that my third brother truly has the template of a protagonist." She sighed inwardly, then smiled a little.
With this system, it shouldn't be that hard to gain enough experience points to improve herself. Perhaps she can have a bunch of son-of-lucks beneath her feet!
'Let's try to level up today.' Lin Susu said as she grabbed her things and prepared to do what she could to level up. She went to the kitchen and prepared to cook, a good and easy thing for her to do.
It didn't take her long to reach the kitchen and it was full of people entering and exiting the room, Lin Susu didn't say a word and walked in and she could feel the heat burning against her skin.
Not long after she appeared, one of the chief saw Lin Susu coming in and his actions stopped and came over to her.
