'What's wrong with you, Shanazer?' Before Shanazer could reply, Tairen Exon went on, 'What is really going on?'
'What do you mean?' Shanazer asked in confusion.
'Really?' Anna frowned and seemed disgusted with Shanazer.
'Come on guys? Why are you here?'
'Just speak plainly.' Pressed on Shanazer.
'Stop pretending we know about your duel with Cathy Williams.'
'I guess the whole city knows.' Retorted Anna.
'Oh! I see?' Shanazer smiled, 'You don't have to worry, I know what I am doing.' She assured them.
'You are even smiling?'
'Unbelievable? Do you even know the trouble you have put yourself in?' Questioned Anna while her anger and temper was rising.
Tairen Exon seemed not to know what to say as he held his smooth chin.
'Relax guys, don't overthink.' Shanazer tried to smooth up things.
'Seriously, do you know who she is?'
'She is a worldwide forerunner champion in the younger generation. Do you think you can beat her?'
'You are absolutely seeking death!' Anna scolded.
'I told you guys that I know what I am doing.' Affirmed Shanazer.
'What really happened?' Tairen Exon finally spoke.
'How did your dispute escalate that far?' Tairen Exon added another question before Shanazer could answer.
'She is just a bully. I will definitely teach her a lesson.' Shanazer replied, still holding her emotions in.
'My goodness? What has come into you?'
'This is not my girl I know?'
'We have to find a way to forfeit the duel.' Suggested Tairen Exon.
'No need for that, you guys will just have to trust me.' Countered Shanazer.
'Where are you getting all this charisma from?' Queried Anna.
'I already told you that you just have to trust me on this one.'
At Lusaka Blue Hotel, Xander was roaming within his office. He started speaking to himself. Tonight you will not come around I suppose, will you? I know you are not on duty today. I want to call you, but I don't have courage and really don't know what to say. Is there someone else? You were undoubtedly leading me on. Don't leave me hanging on this cliff? I might suffocate and die from this sleeping love you have awakened in me. If I die, I will hunt you for all of your next lives, and you will never find peace. Xander smiled at his thoughts.
Later that day, Shanazer was preparing herself to go for dinner at Auntie Freya's House. She wore some of the new clothes she bought last time when she went to buy her office attire. Shanazer heard a knock come on the door, right away she knew who it was, actually it was the person she had been waiting for that evening. Excitement struck her heart, she delayed quite a bit before she could welcome Olivia.
She played this trick in order not to appear desperate, 'Come in?'
Her voice was filled with confidence and full of life. Olivia pushed the door from outside, which gave a squeaking sound. Next, a young lady walked in majestically looking very opportunistic. Shanazer gazed at her, she was quite clean but not dressed in a fancy way, basically casual.
'How are you doing?' Shanazer thought of being the first one to greet Olivia. She looked quite joyful, confident and full of zeal. Olivia smiled while radiating excitement, her happiness pretty evident, 'Great sister, are you ready for dinner?'
Shanazer left Olivia in suspense for a couple of seconds. This move was made deliberately in order not to pop up desperately. Shanazer came out full of energy, though not knowing what awaited her at the dinner house. Technically, she did not know what to expect. This had been her first invitation out, 'Yes, please lead the way.'
Olivia's face lit up, and she turned to walk out of the house. Shanazer grinned from inside as she followed after Shanazer. Shanazer was eager to learn, experience and feel what life had in store for her next.
In fifteen minutes, they were at Auntie Freya's house. It was big, well-paved with clashed stones and marbles. It had an old structure like the ones in the twenty-first century, European style. Olivia opened the door, tilted her head to check on Shanazer behind her. Behold, she stood there waiting for a welcome signal, and was, of course, a little bit nervous. Olivia smiled like a Cheshire cat as she uttered in a low, faint, assertive voice, 'come in, and welcome to Auntie Freya's house.'
Shanazer received the welcome with an all smiley and subsequently stated, 'thank you.'
She walked past Olivia, then stopped, waiting for Olivia to direct her to where she should go. Olivia closed the door, walked forward to Shanazer, as she went on to lead the way. Shanazer couldn't help it but look at every side of the house in amazement. It was fabulous. She had never stepped foot in such a big house before. She only saw them from a distance. The big buildings and premises she had stepped on were the orphanage and university.
As Shanazer admired the walls and ceiling boards in the passage, they found themselves in a huge room. It was ably designed. It contained a seating area, with four maroon leather sofas, a glass table coated with wood at its edges in the middle, a maroon couch which faced to the north. On a maroon leather sofa sat an elderly lady, but not too old, facing a smart TV which hung on the wall to the north. If Shanazer's prediction is right, she must be in her seventy's, she wore white spectacles, her skin quite fairy, and still tight flesh. This was definitely Auntie Freya. She looked up, set up her spectacles in order to zoom up the two ladies in front of her. She stood up, gave a welcoming, brightly lit smile, which brought out her wrinkled dimples on her face.
'Hello, you must be Shanazer, welcome to our humble home?' Auntie Freya stretched her hand out.
Her eyes tightly locked with Shanazer as she waited to hear her voice with anticipation, at the same time sizing her up.
