Chapter 14 - 14

As soon as Hyana accepted the private chat, she nearly had a heart attack because of what Mina wrote.

Mina: "In the next room, it's my husband and me. Also, you're officially our slave."

Hanna: "...Impossible."

Mina: "We'll discuss this tomorrow morning. For now, I'm too tired for this."

When the sounds in the next room suddenly stopped, Hyana felt a surge of immense fear. She reopened the global chat.

Hanna: "Guys, no matter what happens, keep your real identities hidden. Never share more information than necessary, or you'll regret it."

Nagamom: "Based on the chat history and reactions, I can deduce that the one who bought you is Mina."

Demon_King: "Revealing your true identity here is plain foolishness. For example, I'm actually a human, but I claim to be a demon to mislead enemies."

Nagamom: "Same here."

Hanna: "I refuse to believe I'm the only fool here! Come on, admit it, you guys also revealed your real types at first."

Demon_King and Nagamom: "No!"

In the morning, Miya went to the room next door and threatened the mermaid with grilled fish for dinner. Then, she forgave her and ordered her servants to take the mermaid to the mansion's pool.

The mansion's pool was actually a large pond, spacious enough to allow small boats and supporting a small ecosystem. Hyana, surprised by this level of kindness, looked at Miya with gratitude.

Miya smiled and left Hyana alone to explore her new home. A while later, Raphiel arrived at the pond with Miya. Hyana emerged to greet them respectfully before diving back into the water. They enjoyed a brief boat ride and had breakfast on the boat.

In a dark dungeon, a demon sat on a throne, listening as a messenger recounted recent events. The demon on the throne spoke, "I gave you a simple task, and you couldn't even accomplish that? Kill this fool." A humanoid figure appeared behind the throne, killed the messenger, then disappeared again.

A voice sounded from behind the throne: "Would you like me to go to the human kingdom to kill your youngest brother, my lord?" The demon on the throne replied that it wouldn't be necessary. He believed a crippled demon posed no threat and intended to destroy him along with the human kingdom once he became king.

One of the king's servants entered and said, "The king summons you, my prince."

After a peaceful day, evening came, and Raphiel entered the Void with Miya. With someone assisting Raphiel, the Void developed more seamlessly.

With Miya's help, the existing features improved significantly. For example, it was no longer possible to force a servant to do something, and if servants were dissatisfied, they could return to the dungeon. This feature was added because the servants were parts of the player's subconscious; if a servant despised the player, it could lead to the player's self-loathing over time.

Now, servants had partial access to the player's abilities. They could shop for themselves or create new skill cards for personal use.

Additionally, a servant no longer had to transfer all the VP (Victory Points) they earned to the player; half of it remained with them, fostering an economy among servants. A patent feature was also added, allowing individuals to patent their created skill cards. This didn't prevent others from making similar skill cards, but it hid the internal structure of the patented card.

The trade and chat mechanics were refined for servants. If they belonged to the same player, they could trade and chat freely among themselves, but if the target was another player's servant, they needed special permission from their master.

Deciding they'd done enough for the day, Raphiel and Miya left the Void and went to sleep in the real world. While Raphiel slept, Miya woke up, left a note on the table, and left.

A fragment of Raphiel's soul looked at the god before him and asked, "Who are you?" Raphiel's form was barely visible, with cracks in his body emitting a faint glow.

The god, with a smug expression, replied, "I was curious why Raphiel hadn't experienced severe trauma despite everything he's gone through. Turns out it's because of you." The damaged soul didn't try to hide the truth.

"It was like cutting off an arm to survive; if I hadn't been dead at the time, it would have led to a dissociative identity disorder. But none of this matters—what matters is why you saved me."

The god said, "I plan to erase your consciousness and merge you with the main body again." Raphiel responded, "Since you're telling me this, there must be a second option, right?" The god nodded in agreement.

"I'll send you to the same world as the main body. If you work hard enough, you'll have the chance to take control of the main body. But I know you don't want that, so I'll give you a small gift: you can choose three abilities."

Raphiel thought carefully. "I can't ask for an ability that would make me omnipotent, can I?" The god laughed, saying it was impossible.

"Can I make up my own ability?"

The god said there was no issue with that, but he might impose some limitations on the desired ability.

At first, Raphiel considered abilities like regression, reincarnation, and resurrection, but these abilities would lose their meaning after a certain point. Despite their strength, they had weaknesses. After careful thought, Raphiel decided on the abilities he wanted.

"The first ability, [Self_Control], gives me complete control over my body, soul, consciousness, and everything else that's a part of me. As long as there are enough resources, I could even transform myself into a silicon-based lifeform."

The god appeared thoughtful for a moment, then agreed, warning Raphiel that he could only control things he was aware of.

"The second ability I want is [Nonsense], allowing me to manipulate reality to a certain extent and achieve illogical things."

The god approved but cautioned that Mana in the world Raphiel would be sent to had a similar effect. Raphiel's final request was the most complex.

"I want the ability to travel to different dimensions at will."

The god replied, "The multiverse is extremely complex, and there are beings far stronger than me there. I'm sorry, but I can't allow that. Please choose something else."

Raphiel then asked for a small universe for himself, but this wish was also denied immediately. He made several more requests, but all were rejected.

"Can I have a simulator system?"

The god said it was possible but warned that the simulation wouldn't be flawless and that there would be various restrictions on the rewards he could obtain from it. Raphiel said he still wanted it.

"I have one request: forget my existence after sending me there."

The god warned that if he did so, he wouldn't be able to assist Raphiel in the future, and, given the severe damage to Raphiel's soul, he would only be reborn as a goblin at best.

Raphiel silently nodded in agreement before vanishing, saying, "From now on, my name will be Let." After he left, the god kept his word and erased all memories of Raphiel from his mind.

Let knew that what he would be reborn as was entirely random.
