Chapter 1 - You Will Marry Him?

"Miss Wood"

I was awakened from my trance by the patriarch, and then I felt everyone's nervous gaze on me, including my groom, who stood next to me with his tailored blue suit, smooth black hair, and pointed nose, and most importantly, he had a genuine smile plastered on his lips.

"Do you take Mr. Watson as your beloved husband for..."

He was saying this when I noticed a red circle light on his chest.

"What's that?" I asked, and Coyle, my fiancé, held my hand and pulled me back.

"It's a sniper; someone is about to shoot." Coyle muttered, and this made everyone worried. Then I noticed there was one on Coyle's forehead as well.

What the fuck was happening?

Suddenly, there was some strange scent, which made me feel dizzy. What was going on?

**

My head was hurting a lot, and my eyes flickered as I tried to balance it with the view of the light.

Where was I?

Then I realized my hands were tied, and I was no longer in my wedding gown. "Hey, get me out of here," I scolded and struggled to free my hands, but it was impossible.

I could hear the clicking sound of keys, then the door pushed open, and a man stepped in. He was short and muscular.

"You…who are you?"

"Ask him," the man replied as another man walked in. My brows furrowed as I wondered if I was dreaming.

The slight smile on his lips, his dark eyes, which had once entrapped me. How could I forget it?

"Sup beauty?" he asked, and I blinked. His voice had become even more audible. And his features were even more daring and mature.

It had been six years since I last saw him. I think the last day I saw him was when we had our first night and I discovered he was married.

He had the guts to leave without an explanation. I even sent him a text saying that I was pregnant, but he still didn't show up. Such a shameless man.

"You kidnapped me; are you crazy?" I scolded, and he signaled his man, who walked forward and untied me.

I quickly jumped down from the bed and took a proper look at my body. "A female maid changed your clothes," he explained, and I snorted and hurried to him.

"Today is my wedding day."

"I know,"

"But I am here; I am not supposed to be here," I yelled, and he frowned and grabbed my hand.

"Are you crazy, Ava? How dare you choose to marry another man who isn't me?" The words rolled out of his tongue as I stared at him like he was some lunatic.

"Let me go, bastard; I am to marry Coyle." I tried freeing my hand from his grip, but he didn't let go.

"You will marry him?"

"Yes, I love him."

"Say that one more time, and I will fuck the hell out of you."

"Listen to me, Ava Wood; you are mine, and I will kill any man who attempts to touch you."

Was he serious? Did he really mean the words he meant? How could he show up after six years and talk to me like it had been six days?

"Yan, you have no right over me." I succeeded in pulling my hand from him. Six years ago, he was my mathematics tutor and also close friends with my older brother. Even though he was ten years older than me, we still had a relationship.

And he left. He left and broke every bond we ever created together.

"You are mine, Ava; we are going to talk when your mind is clear."

Then he walked out with his man, and to my surprise, he locked the door from outside.

"Yan, Yan, get me out of here, you bastard!" I banged my fist on the door angrily. How could he do this to me?

My babies, they must be so worried about me... Poor Lily; she can't go to bed without me coaxing her, and Ryan will probably cause a fist.

I know Fred was the most mature, but he was just a kid as well; he must be so sad right now.

I pushed the balcony door open and looked down. It was getting dark already, so I had to escape.

I made a rope with the sheets and tied one end to the balcony, grabbing the other tightly as it took me down to the front.

"The lady is escaping," a guard yelled, and I quickly dashed off and ran to the gates, but they were locked.

Suddenly, I felt someone grab me and throw me on his shoulder.

"Yan, leave me." I hit his back angrily and flung my legs, but he didn't bulge.

"Let me go; I need to leave," I kept screaming, and he walked back to the bedroom with me and placed me on the bed.

"What's wrong with you? Do you think I will lock you up forever? I just want us to talk," he scolded, and I sneered.

"I don't want to talk to you; all I want is to leave. Let me go," I scolded, and he stared at me with a frustrated look.

"You can't marry that man," he said, pointing a finger at me.

"What do you want from me, Yan? You can't just walk out of my life and walk back in so easily." My face became wet from tears; how could he do such to me?

There was a knock on the door. He walked to the man who handed him a file, and he walked back to me.

"Marriage is what you want, right? Good, I will give you that," he said, and I was confused. What was he talking about?

He shoved a pen at me. "These are wedding documents; sign this and become my wife," he blurted. The funny part was the fact that he wasn't asking... He was ordering me to be his wife.
