Chapter 7 - AI Response

Ava's POV:

I stared at my kids with a frustrated look. How could they do this to me? Where they planning to reunite with their dad and leave me?

"I never expected this from you all; how could you do this?" I scolded.

"If you wanted something, then come to me. I will give you, Why did you have to go in search of that man?"

"We found our dad; you refused to tell us who he was." Ryan chimed in, and I clenched my fist.

"You shut up when I am talking, how..."

"Okay, let's calm down," Cynthia butted in before she crouched to the kid.

"How about you go to your bedrooms first and reflect on your actions?"

"I am not done talking to them," I yelled, but Cynthia already led them upstairs.

"Ahh," I screamed angrily. Who did Yan think he was? questioning the training I gave to my kids?

He had lost it, and I didn't expect such from them. I didn't expect them to suddenly show up at his office to see him; which cab driver even agreed to drive them there?

What if he had kidnapped my kids and refused to give them back to me? What would have become of me?

"I think you should calm down, Ava." Cynthia walked downstairs, and I snorted.

I didn't even have time to think of this as my job was at risk. Maybe if I lost my job, then they would rush to their dad for financial help. Just perfect. He will take everything from me.

I walked to my desk and turned my desktop on. "I have work, and I am supposed to deliver my article before midnight, so I really can't take any drama."

"So what's the drama in this? That your kids chose to go meet their dad since you refused to introduce them?"

"When you say it that way though..." I sighed heavily; maybe it was all my fault.

"No, it was Yan's fault. And if we didn't arrive on time, he was going to let my kids bond with their stepmom; he has lost his mind," I blurted in a sarcastic tone when Cynthia sat next to me.

"What are you talking about?"

"Linda West, the Cinderella princess is Yan's fiancee, and I can't believe the public doesn't even know about that."

"It's normal; no one was aware of his first wedding, so why will he tell people about the second?" Cynthia questioned, and I felt like a bulb lit up in my brain.

News, this was entertainment news, and EN will be the first people to publish about it.

"But I don't understand... He kidnapped you from your wedding. Wasn't it because he was interested in you?" Cynthia asked with a confused look.

"Don't talk about him anymore," I warned, and Cynthia rolled her eyes.

"You were the one talking about him."

My phone rang; it was Coyle. I placed the call on a loud speaker.

"Hello?"

"Baby, how are you doing?"

"I am good, Coyle, thanks."

"Do you know my aunt who works at the civil affiars bureau?" He asked, and I went through my brain; I don't think I remember him telling me about an aunt.

"She suggested we could get our marriage registered in two days since our wedding was ruined," he explained, and I suddenly got nervous and confused.

"Our marriage?" I asked, trying to decide what I was going to answer.

"Yes, we are still getting married right?" He asked, and I looked at Cynthia, who shrugged her shoulders, giving me the look that it was none of her business.

"Yeah…uhm, in two days, you say? It's just to sign the documents, so it's not much. Of course I will be there."

I ended the call, and Cynthia burst out in laughter, "Perfect, at least I will be present for your next kidnapping session."

Was that supposed to be funny?

"And don't go about singing my wedding on social media," I warned her at once; I wouldn't want to be kidnapped by Yan again.

Maybe he had the time to kidnap me because he had a lot of free time; maybe I should give him a lot of work.

I stretched my hands and prepared to type a very interesting news that will break through the internet.

-

My gaze moved to the clock, and it was already 8 p.m.; luckily, Cynthia had made sure the kids had dinner before they left for their bedrooms. I sent the article I wrote to the editorial team before I went upstairs to go freshen up and sleep.

But I chose to stop by Fred's bedroom; I had inherited this house from my grandma. It was so big and had enough bedrooms for the kids to sleep separately. I pushed the bedroom door and found Fred before the desktop.

"You aren't sleeping; it's late." I muttered and walked closer and sat next to him.

"So, what are you searching for late at night? You could just ask me." I smiled at him. I didn't want to argue with my kids because of a man like Yan.

"What are the parts found in a plane?" He asked, and I raised a brow. Was that what he was searching for?

He was pulling my legs, and I knew it. "You know I love you right?" I asked, and he nodded, then I cupped his face with my palms.

"You also understand how emotional Lily is, and this piece of news you dumped on her today will break her. You should have come to me first and let's sought things out instead of suggesting that you all go to WG"

He nodded in agreement, "I am sorry."

I pulled him in for a hug and then whispered "So, is there something about your dad you wish to know?"

I broke the hug and stared at him, he pointed at his desktop screen and I was surprised by what he was searching online.

He had asked a very troubling question to the AI and the AI response hit me hard but it was true, very true.

"Why?" I asked as my eyes became sore and I held onto my tears.
