Chapter 12 - You Are A Pyscopath

Ava's POV:

"Hold up." I stood up and walked to the lady and tried to calm myself.

Then I pointed at Coyle. "That man over there, he signed the documents with me," I said, and she nodded.

"That's right"

"Good, then why are you saying that I am married to Yan Earlton?"

"Coyle Watson signed as a witness," she answered, and Coyle hurried to the lady.

"Is this a joke? What do you mean by "I signed as a witness?"

The lady frowned and pulled my hand, then she placed the documents on my hand. "Congratulations," she scoffed and dashed off.

-

We returned to my place after I tried to file a complaint at court and get an immediate divorce if it was possible.

But all our efforts went to waste. I kept calling Yan, but there was no response.

"Give me that." Mike took the document from me as he took a proper look at the marriage certificate.

"It's indeed Yan's signature," he confirmed something that I already knew.

But how could Yan do this to me?

"Get rid of that." Coyle grabbed the document and threw it.

"You played me, Ava; you arranged to be married to the father of your kids." Coyle pointed a finger at me as he scolded; my eyes widened in shock.

Why will he accuse me of such?

"You want me out of the picture after everything I did for us, Ava. Just because you saw a man more capable, you left me."

I couldn't even refute because he was in so much pain.

"Coyle, calm down, man." Mike tried comforting him, but he pushed him away.

"I was willing to take her in even with three burdens, and she paid me this way."

I couldn't help myself but slap him hard across the face.

"Are you crazy? Did you just call my kids a burden?"

He stared at me confusedly. Society was right when they said no man will ever accept another man's children wholeheartedly.

All this while he has seen my kids as a burden; then why did he want to marry me?

"Get out," I scolded, and he held his cheek.

"I didn't…"

"Get out," I chimed in as he turned and looked at Mike, Cynthia, and the kids.

"Ava please…"

"Just leave before I show you the other side of me." I gritted my teeth angrily, then he walked past me before he whispered

"Let's talk when you are calmer, please."

Then I closed the door and stared at Mike and Cynthia.

"Anyone has anything to say?"

They all shook their heads in denial. I walked forward and picked the document, then picked up my purse.

"Please take care of the kids; I have some scores to settle with Yan."

Then I was about to rush to my car when the kids hurried and blocked my path.

"No, don't go."

"What are you saying?" I asked, did they even understand what was going on here?

"We understand what happened; you are married to Yan Earlton. Please don't change  that." Lily pleaded, and I was shocked by their words.

"Please stay married to our dad. We don't want Coyle as our dad when we have one." Ryan added, and I stared at Fred, who didn't say anything.

"Well, you don't have a say in any of this. Go to your bedrooms," I snorted and walked past them.

I should stay married to their dad? Why will they ever tell me such a thing?

I got to my car and drove out. Yan had a lot of explanations to do, especially how he was able to pull such a trick on me.

-

I parked the car in front of WG and hurried inside and walked past the receptionist angrily.

I got to the elevator and pressed the button when the security hurried to me, "Ma'am, you can't go up without an appointment."

I snorted, Why will I need an appointment to see that crazy man?

Then I thought of the card Kernen had given me yesterday; luckily it was in my bag, so I retracted it and showed it to them.

Seeing the card, they stared at each other and backed out.

The elevator opened, and I got in and pressed the number 6. I tapped my feet on the floor impatiently as I waited for the elevator to stop.

It finally got to the sixth floor, and I walked to the door and pushed it open. Yan was on the study going through some documents.

His gaze moved to me before he closed the document "Ava."

"How could you trick me this way, Yan? How could you choose to ruin my life and you sit here like you did nothing wrong?" I scolded, and he approached me.

"I get that you are angry, but you are going to bring down your tune, and we will talk."

How did he even get the guts to say that? I threw the marriage certificate at his face. "Mrs. Earlton? That's what you want me to be? In your dreams, Yan."

"Not in my dreams, baby; you are my woman. You have always been; this paper is just some formality," he blurted, and then walked to his desk and took an envelope before he shoved it to me.

"I did this for you; will you prefer to be with a man like this?"

I opened the envelope and noticed there were pictures of Coyle and Manuella being intimate; there was even a recent one of them kissing yesterday. Maybe it was before I arrived.

How could he have done this to me? But still... this doesn't give Yan any reason to trick me.

"I want a divorce," I threw the photos and folded my arms.

"No, we are going to stay together like family. Just as it should have been."

His words made me laugh. Was I going to stay with him as a family? "Jesus, how did I end up knowing a psychopath like you?" I spouted, has he always been this way, or have I just got to discover?

Next thing I knew, he grabbed my hand and dragged me out of his suite. "Hey, leave me," I scolded, but he didn't listen as he pressed the elevator and pushed me inside and pressed the button.

"Are you crazy, Yan? Let me go," I scolded as he held my hand.

The elevator stopped downstairs, and he dragged me past all his staff, who stared at us like they had seen some horror movie.

Then we got to his car, and he forced me inside and shut the door.

"Where are you taking me, Yan?" I hit the door, but it was locked as he drove out.

"Yan, stop this madness." I kept trying to push the door open, but it was impossible, especially when he was driving at such a fast pace that I got scared.

"Yan, slow down," I muttered, but he didn't listen.

"Yan…YAN!!!"
