Yan's POV:
The kids frowned at me. "The feeling is mutual, sir; we are also not interested in you, and we also have our mom; she will never be yours." Lily scolded, and my gaze moved to the left, where I spotted Kernen.
"Come here," I frowned at her as she rushed towards me.
"I already called their mom; she will soon be here," she started, and my frown deepened. I didn't ask her to call anyone.
"Why didn't you tell me that I have kids?" She was in charge of informing me about everything that was up in my life; she also did a proper search and told me when Ava was getting married; she even told me that Ava's brother, Mike, needed some help in his company, which I was happy to help from the shadows.
But she didn't tell me about this?
"I am sorry, I felt it wasn't relevant seeing that you hate kids," she explained, and I stared at the kids.
"Cancel all my appointments and call Ava to meet me at the mansion," I said, then turned to the kids.
"Little sperms of mine, come with me."
We all walked outside to my car; I pulled the door open, and they got in before I drove out.
I couldn't help but keep staring at them from the rearview mirror. I had kids.
"So, what's your name?" I asked the others who hadn't introduced themselves.
"Ryan Wood"
"I am Fred Wood," the serious kid with a frown on his face said.
I sighed with great relief; luckily, one of them wasn't called Yan Junior.
We arrived at the mansion, and I walked down the car and pulled the door open for them as they followed me inside.
"Is this your house?" Lily asked, and I nodded. "This is where I will stay with your mother; do you want to see our bedroom?" I joked, and they all had a frown.
They sat there as I took my time examining their looks; I don't think I even needed a DNA test to confirm that they were my kids. That Ryan kid looked just like the picture found in my childhood gallery.
"Fred, Lily..." I heard Ava yell from outside as she ran inside. She crouched towards the kids with a worried look.
"Are you okay? Did something happen to you?" I don't think I have ever seen her that worried, and why will something happen to them when they were obviously with me?
"Ava, we need to talk," I said, and she frowned at me. Then she stared at the girl with black hair she just walked in with.
"Cynthia please take the kids to the car."
The lady nodded and walked to the kids, "Let's go."
"Goodbye little sperms," I smiled at them as they walked out.
"Don't you dare call my kids that," she pointed a finger at me when I grabbed it.
"When did you plan to tell me that I had kids?" I raised a brow, and she laughed.
"Stop the pretense. Yan, you knew so well about the kids. You just never cared."
Why will she say such a thing? If I knew she was pregnant then I wouldn't have left, why will I let her carry the burden of being pregnant alone?
With such a thought in her head, she won't believe anything I say.
"Okay, maybe you are right. But when did you plan on introducing us?" I questioned, and she pulled her hand from me.
"Never"
I kissed my teeth angrily, "Can you stop the childish act, Ava?"
"You think I am being childish right now?"
"Yes, very childish, and I will appreciate it if we talk like adults."
She laughed and brushed her hair backward with her fingers. "So who is going to be the adult amongst us? A man who runs away from his responsibility or a woman who protects her kids from bad influence"
"So I am the bad influence?" I chuckled in disbelief.
"Yes, my kids would have never skipped school if it wasn't for you."
What? How was any of that my fault? Some minutes ago, I had no idea that I had kids, so how could she blame me for that?
"Maybe if you had shown them their dad, then they wouldn't have to snuck out of your nose."
"Oh, so I did a bad job raising them?" She asked, and I shut my eyes tightly. I didn't say that, so why was she putting words in my mouth?
"Yan," a female voice called from the door. We both turned, and I sighed when I noticed it was Linda West.
She had a smile on her face as she catwalked towards us. "I never thought you would be at home at such an hour; I came to make you a meal," she explained, and I frowned. Why will she do such?
Then she turned to Ava and said, "Hello, I am Linda West. Yan's fiancee"
Oh, okay, the engagement that didn't take place already took place? How could she call herself my fiancee?
"Ava, she…"
"I am Ava Wood; I will leave you now with your fiance," she threw a smile my way and dashed off.
I cursed inwardly and sat on the couch and dragged off my tie. I wasn't a drama person, but finding out that I had kids made me really tense.
Now she thinks I am questioning her home training, which I am not.
"Get out," I muttered to Linda. I wasn't in the mood for stupid talks with her. I will never marry her, no matter how influential her family was.
"Yan…that woman…"
"I said…GET OUT." I scolded with an annoyed tone; she flinched and nodded, then turned on her heels to leave.
"Linda," I called, and she turned to me with a smile on her face.
"If you are so desperate for marriage, then go meet Coyle Watson... He is as desperate as you."
