Gwen was lying on her bed, staring at the ceiling with a slight frown on her face.
She was wondering how Ronodin managed to enter the Academy premises with all the wards around the area starting from Mount Percival. And considering how powerful the creature was, there was no way that he would go unnoticed by the firebreathers.
She wondered what his real motive was when he asked her to free Zyre from Mount Percival. What purpose did he have with Thorndyke? Why did he want her to manifest her stone and survive the academy? What benefit would it have given to him?
But most of all, she wondered about what she felt for Thorndyke. She was hurt, that was clear. But she couldn't help but feel that she overreacted a bit.
Okay, maybe she overreacted a lot but he knew that about her, didn't he?
"Chosen One?" Zyre's voice rumbled through the bond, making her startle.
