"Is that all you got, little venom?" Thorndyke smirked as he ducked down, dodging Gwen's blow once again.
"Oh, shut it," she retorted, frustration seeping into her voice. "You're only dodging like that because you're twice my size!"
Thorndyke chuckled, his smirk growing wider.
"Are you complaining now, little venom?" he taunted, circling her like a predator. "You're so cute when you're feisty like this."
Gwen's irritation flared.
"Stop calling me cute."
"Oh, but you are cute," he grinned, "Or are you a feral wild cat who just loves to get her claws on me, hm?"
Gwen huffed, trying to ignore the heat that was starting to rise within her at his teasing.
"I am not a cat," she replied through gritted teeth.
"You're more like a hissing snake," he teased, amusement sparkling in his eyes.
Gwen shot him a venomous glare, her irritation still evident, but there was a hint of a blush on her cheeks.
